"MS.BOSE, WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN ME FOR A WALK ON THE BEACH"

As Sonakshi heard Dev her eyes widened as she gazed at him surprised at the request. She could not make up her mind on how to respond to it. While her brain warned her to deny the request especially considering it was late in the night that too with a stranger whom she barely knew for a few hours but then her heart said that she could trust him especially considering his gentlemanly behavior & the last couple of hours that she had spent with him. She was silent trying to make up her mind. Dev on the other hand observed her silence, he felt his request had made her uncomfortable and mentally scolded himself for putting her in such a situation.

"Ms. Bose, it's ok. Aap agar nahi jana chahti hai toh koi problem nahi. Wo actually main soch raha tha jaaney ki toh mujhey laga ki aap se bhi pooch loon. Aap nahi jana chahti hai toh theek hai, I am sorry" Dev said trying to make it easier for Sonakshi to deny his request and was about to move forward when he heard.

"Main ney aisa toh nahi kaha ki main nahi jana chahti Dev" Sonakshi said as Dev turned to look at her

"Matlab?" he asked, confusion etched on his face.

"Matlab Ye ki mujhey aapkey saath beach pe chalney main koi problem nahi hai" she said with a finality in her voice, her heart had prevailed over her brain. As Dev heard her a wide smile broke on his face, he was happy that she trusted him.

"Lekin aap ko aisa kyun laga ki main mana karney wali hoon aur aap Sorry kyun keh rahey hai?" she asked him, as Dev looked at her pondering about how to answer her.

"Nahi, Wo aap aisey chup khadi thi toh mujhey laga ki shayad aapko bura laga ho?" he replied as Sonakshi smiled listening to his honest answer.

"Wo actually main ye soch rahi thi ki raat kafi ho chuki hai aur phir aapney kaha tha ki aapko kuch important kaam bhi karna hai toh main thodi surprised thi aapkey request se" Sonakshi said with a smile not wanting to reveal the actual reason for her silence.

"Oh! Ok, Nahi kaam toh hai lekin wo main baad main aakey kar lunga. Chaliye chaltey hai" he replied as Sonakshi nodded.

They then went to the Auto-rickshaw stand and hiring one proceeded to JUHU beach. Once they reached their they decided to have the famous Pav-Bhaji of Mumbai as they were hungry, they sat by the beach gorging on their food talking about random things. As they finished their food they decided to walk on the beach by the sea-side before heading back to their hotel.

Dev and Sonakshi were walking on one of the calmer parts of the JUHU Beach away from the cacophony of the hawkers and the crowd. Dev always made it a point to spend some time here on the beach whenever he was in Mumbai and was aware of the every part of the beach.

They had rolled up their jeans and were walking barefoot carrying the footwear in their hands. The wetness of the sand coupled with the cool breeze blowing across was soothing them as a peaceful smile adorned their faces. There was silence, but the silence had its own beauty, it had its own peace and tranquility attached to it.
