PART 30 - LOST LOVE ???

Now coming to this update, I am posting this early as I am not sure whether I will get a chance to post this story in the next few days so I am posting it today itself.

"BUT I DO NOT APPROVE OF THIS RELATIONSHIP"

As soon as they heard that Jatin and Avni along with Dev and Sonakshi turned to look who it was while Ishwari and Dadi did not need to look at the person for they already knew who it was, they always knew this was going to be hurdle in Jatin & Avni's relationship ever since they had revealed about it to the person and now that it was happening they sighed disappointedly and gave the person a pleading look, but it seemed like the person was unmoved, it was none other than RAJEEV DIXIT. One look at him and Dev knew that his Dad was angry and agitated. And that worried him because seldom did his dad get angry but when he did it would take a lot of time to get him back to his normal self. He would generally cut himself off from everyone lest he said something which he should not and except Ishwari no one would go near him because only she could handle him at his worst and Dev knew this was one such situation.

"But Rajeev..." said Ishwari but she was cut off by him "We already have talked about this Ishwari, I cannot let Avni be in a relationship with a man who had given her grief and sadness. More importantly I cannot let a person who has broken her trust be with her" said Rajeev looking at Avni clearly conveying his disagreement with her choice, he did not bother to spare a look at Jatin.

"But Rajeev, its Avni's decision to be with Jatin and give him a second chance. You cannot impose your decision on her" said Dadi trying to make her son understand as he replied "Maa, I have given my opinion rest it is up to Avni whether she accepts my decision or not" he said and moved towards Avni "Avni, you know that right from your childhood I have never tried to impose any decision on you. But this is something I cannot accept, I cannot let a person who has hurt you in the past be with you. What if he hurts you again, I do not want that to happen Beta. I hope you understand my decision" he said and caressed her head, all this while Jatin just stood silently, his mistake in the past was threatening to ruin his future with Avni.

"Sir, Can I please say something? I am...." said Jatin gathering his courage but before he could continue Rajeev interrupted "I am not talking to you young man" his tone silenced Jatin as Rajeev continued "Ishwari, I am going to my room. Please see that no one disturbs me" he said and stormed off to his room while everyone just stood flabbergasted trying to recover from what had unfolded.

Avni's sobs brought everyone out of their thoughts, she had slumped down on the sofa and was crying uncontrollably, never had she expected life to put her in such a situation. Jatin sank to his knees and held her trying to calm her down but her cries did not subside while on the other hand Dadi and Ishwari looked at Dev and Sonakshi apologetically for what had just happened, somewhere they were holding themselves responsible for the situation at hand.

"I am sorry Jatin, but I cannot be with you. Rajeev uncle is like my father in fact he is more than that and I cannot go against him. I am sorry" said Avni, getting up she ran to the guest room where she generally stayed whenever she visited Dixit house as Jatin was left stunned & speechless. Dev asked Riya and Nikki to go to Avni so that she was not alone. Jatin on the other hand did not how to react, was life playing the dirty game once again? Was he being punished for his mistake of the past? Was he going to lose his love once again?
