Time Alone - Poem

When I'm alone

it's as if I'm in another zone.

People don't matter,

and even the slightest clatter,

cannot disturb me.

I think about all sorts of things,

my mind running as if it had wings.

It makes me wonder where I go from here,

and if I can concur my biggest fears.

Where will this road I'm on take me?

All these thoughts consume me,

even when I'm extremely busy.

I could even be playing softball,

or shooting a basketball.

Maybe even on my computer or phone.

I love to be outside when I'm alone,

maybe even sitting atop a stone.

Watching as the time flies by,

waiting for the starry night sky.

Let the world consume me,

whenever I'm alone.
