Chapter 2 Part 10

"Get up...." I say to Kim. "Get up!"

She moans as I help her to her feet.

"We need to tell Mitch...." I breathe. "We'll tell him..."

"Amber." Kim says, tears streaming from her eyes. "You don't understand!"

"I've been through all this crap before, Kim! I understand fine!" I shout, pulling her out of the elevator and into the corridor.

"This baby...." She breathes. "It isn't Mitch's..."

What the hell?

"Oh....don't tell me you're serious..." I say, sternly.

"It's George's..." She says.

George. Skye's boyfriend.

I don't even understand this.

"ARE YOU SICK?" I scream, pushing her back.

I don't know why I'm so angry. I'm just so annoyed and frustrated for Mitch. He's still my friend. And now his idiot of a girlfriend has betrayed him...

"Amber, please...." Kim says. "I know.....I can explain."

"No- don't explain!" I exclaim. "Just get away from me!"

"Where should I go?" Kim asks.

"I don't know but.....get away from me...." I say, walking backwards. "How could you, Kim?"

I back up into my hotel room and lock the door behind me. My heart is beating SO fast right now.

I actually CANNOT believe her....

"Any luck?" Pel's voice, rings behind me. "I've been really good with Reid today, anyways...."

"Perri...." I say. "Just......"

"What?"

'Kim is pregnant."

He looks startled.

"Well...wow...oh....gosh.."

"Exactly..." I say, my throat burning. "But that's not the worst part. It's not Mitch's baby..."

"What?" Pel shouts.

"I know..."

"I'm definitely telling Mitch. This is serious...." Pel says, pulling his phone out.

"It's George's baby...." I mutter. "Pel- don't you dare call him!"

"Why not?" Perri yells. "He's my friend, he needs to know."

"He's my friend. And Kim's my friend as well. He doesn't need to know anything, okay?" I say.

"Well, him and Ash are coming here to discuss work....like now...." He says.

"Fine, just don't tell him...." I say. "Capeech?"

I walk into the bedroom and grab Reid, carrying him. Then I give him to Pel.

"Take care of him..." I say, to Perri.

"Where are you going?" Perri sighs, rolling his eyes.

"To find Kim- again. Maybe I overreacted....besides I've made more mistakes than her..." I say.

Perri sighs again.

"Just stay here...." He says, grabbing my shoulder with his free arm. "With me....and Reid...."

"I'd love to- but Kim needs help!" I say, getting frustrated. "I'm sorry...."

I lean in to give him a quick kiss but he turns around.
