millie walked to her locker, tired already. she forgot how much she hated school. grace and maddie were waiting for her, gossiping in front of her locker, their stuff already put away.

"hey mills!" they chirped. millie pushed them away with giggle as she stuck her things in her locker.

"hey cutie,"

millie rolled her eyes as finn slid next to her.

"you gonna introduce me to your friends? he asked.

millie sighed. "guys, this is finn. finn, this is maddie and grace. oh, and noah," she added as noah joined the group.

finn smiled and shook their hands.

"hi, finn," maddie smiled. "nice to meet you."

"so millie told you I invited you all to sit with my friends at lunch today?" finn said.

maddie's eyes almost popped out of her head. "no! mills, why didn't you say something?"

millie rolled her eyes. "because-,"

grace grinned at him. "of course we will!"

millie sighed as finn grinned. "okay, see ya in a few."

a new boy slid up to our group, kissing noah's cheek. millie recognized him as the kid from the party.

"oh, guys, this is romeo." noah said.

millie smiled. "hi, i'm millie."

romeo's eyes widened. "oh, you're that girl from the dare, aren't you? everyone is talking about that."

millie's eyes widened. "uh, they are?"

he nodded. "yeah..."

noah smiled at him. "cmon, guys, let's go get some lunch."

10 minutes later

millie awkwardly slid down at the table next to finn, who grinned.

"hey..." she said softly.

"hey, mills. these are my friends.. you know sadie, and this is iris, jacob, and caleb and gaten."

millie nodded hello as her friends introduced themselves.

finn slid an arm around her waist, and millie shifted uncomfortably as sadie grinned at her, taking a bite of her sandwich.

"so, how's it going you two?" sadie teased.

"horrible.." millie muttered, pushing off finn, at which he smirked.

grace giggled softly, and gaten laughed too, sitting next to her.

they talked and ate, and millie was starting to enjoy the company when finn put his hand on her knee.

millie gritted her teeth angrily, trying to push his hand away, but instead he grabbed her hand and held it tightly.

millie glared at him, but he didn't make eye contact with her, just laughed about a joke caleb made.

noah raised his eyebrows at her, glancing between her and finn. she shook her head quickly, trying to let go of his hand, but he kept a tight grip on her hand.

she sighed, and rolled her eyes, finishing her food with a scowl until the bell rang.

"i'll see you after class," finn said as everyone walked away.
