// so what? it's a stupid dare. //

millie slipped inside the blasting party, maddie at her side.

"this is gonna be so fun!" maddie squealed. "i'm so so glad finn converted you!"

millie grumbled something in response, and started looking for finn.

he grinned sloppily when he saw her, running a hand through his curly black hair. "mills! you made it!"

she smiled as he wrapped an arm around her.

"this is the girl from the dare?" the boy talking to him asked with excitement.

millie wasn't paying attention to the conversation as music thrummed through her ears.

"let's go outside," she murmured to finn.

"i'll be there in a second," finn said.

she nodded, a little annoyed, as she went out to the back and leaned against a wall with a sigh, the wind ruffling her hair.

she heard the back door open and close, and she was gonna walk over to finn when she spotted a familiar brown haired boy instead.

jacob leaned against the wall next to her, closing his eyes.

"uh... hi." millie said, looking at him curiously.

he sighed. "do you wanna kiss me?"

millie's breath caught in her throat. "uhm. i have a boyfriend."

"yeah. but it's just a stupid dare. i bet he's kissing other girls."

"you don't know him," millie hissed at jacob angrily.

she stormed past him and into the house, heading back to finn.

she stopped in her tracks, mouth falling open, when she saw him attached to another girl by the lips.

she stormed over and smacked him hard.

"what the hell finn?" she yelled.

"what?"

"you have a fucking girlfriend." she said angrily.

"so what? it's a stupid dare."

"i don't give a shit, finn. seriously. you're drunk. go home." she could smell the alcohol on his breath. he was definitely drunk.

"you're not my mom, millie. go away. I'll see you tomorrow."

millie was filled with fury, and glared at the girl before storming outside and before jacob could say anything, she pressed her lips against his and he immediately kissed her back.

he pressed her against the wall, and millie felt fury at finn rush through her as she jumped into his arms, breathing hard as she moved away from his lips and kissed his neck.

"what- made you - change your mind?" jacob panted.

"i just realized you were right. it's a stupid dare anyway." millie hissed, and she kissed up his jaw, her breath hitching as he gripped her thighs.

"let's go inside, millie." he said.

she nodded and they found an empty bedroom, jacob pressed millie against the bed as he kissed her neck, and she closed her eyes.

it felt nice.

not as nice as when finn kissed her.

nothing would ever be as nice as when finn kissed her.

the next morning

god, finn was so hungover.

he closed his eyes as he got into his car, and drove to school. he wanted to see millie.

he woke up with a random girl. they hadn't done anything, he would remember that, but he realized millie probably must have found out.

he pulled into the parking lot and walked inside, realizing how much he had lost.

he had worked so hard for her to like him. and what had he done? ruined it.

he stormed inside and headed straight for millie's locker.

she was laughing at jacob. good to know. that meant she liked his friends.

she glanced over and frowned when she saw him, and said something to jacob. he nodded and walked away, and finn stormed up to her.

"hey," he said.

"hi." she replied, turning to her locker, which made him frown as he noticed something on her neck. more then one something.

"millie?" he touched the hickey softly and she batted his arm away.

"what?" she asked, closing her locker and starting to walk away.

he grabbed her and she rolled her eyes as he pulled her back to him.

"why the hell do you have hickeys on your neck? it wasn't me was it?"

she shrugged. "why do you care?"

"i care because I'm your boyfriend, millie."

"so you get to make out with other people and i don't?"

finn froze. she had seen that.

"i was drunk, millie."

"maybe i was too."

"you weren't."

"okay, maybe not. but being drunk does NOT give you the right to make out with other people."

"i'm sorry, millie. i really am."

she sighed. "i'm sorry too."

she hugged him, which took him by surprise. she pressed her lips against his softly, and pulled away, leaving.

"wait! millie!" she turned around.

"um. wanna ditch?"

she shrugged. "okay."

he grinned as she took his hand and they walked outside, climbing in his car.

"we could go anywhere, millie. where do you wanna go?"

"hmm. mcdonalds?"
