CHAPTER 5 A WEEK WITHOUT YOU

Luke's  p.o.v

it had been a weke without her. a week without hearing her laugh or seeing her sweet smile. I had seen her around school and tried to speak to her but she just blanked me. she ignored all my texts and calls. it was Friday and I had something big planned. something to show her that I did care and was serious about our friendship and relationship. I asked the guys to help me plan a special night and for them to help me get her carter there.

The bell to signal the end of school rang and I couldn't be more relieved. I headed for the school doors when I bumped into someone.

"ohh uhh sorry I didn't see you" I said looking up to see carter standing there.

" its okay. bye" she said like she was about to cry I wanted to take her in my arms and tell her how much I loved her and how much I needed her back in my life. but she just walked away   I stood there watching her when the guys walked up to me.

"what you staring at man" cal said hitting me in the back

"oh nothing just daydreaming" I replied quietly.

"so you ready for tonight. I'm going to text carter and ask her to come to the café to get her out." ashton said with confidence in his voice.

we walked home and I started to get changed to what I was going to wear tonight. I decided on my black skinnies, a black t-shirt with my red checked shirt and my black vans. I did my hair and walked down to the living room where everyone was sitting

"so everybody knows what they have to do? " I asked walking into the room

"yep" they all said in unison.

CARTERS P.O.V

school  was awful I couldn't take not seeing Luke or the guys I mean I had Blake, jack and Ethan but Blake was spending more time with ashton now and I couldn't talk to Ethan and jack about this kind of thing. i got home took a shower and changed into my ripped shorts and a purple vest top, putting a baggy black hoodie on top. I joined my mom downstairs on the couch and we started watching cake boss.

"are you okay carter?" she asked quietly " you've been very down the past week and I haven't seen the boys round in a while?" she asked almost regretting it after saying it.

" I'm fine, honest, just they have been busy this week." I said wondering if I was convincing or not. so what I lied but I wasn't going to tell my mom that I was in love with a boy I barley knew and on the second day of knowing him he ripped my heart out.

I got a text Ashton

*from ashman*

"hey carter we missed you this past week. want to come to the café down the street with me Michael and cal? luke wont be there promis!"

I didn't know what to say but I missed the guys so I agreed

"sure. ill meet you there in 15 mins. missed you guys too!"

I got a reply almost instantly

"no we will pick you up. Luke's mom is letting me use her car so we can drive down. will see you in 20 mins"

I laughed. ohh god ashton driving was this safe. I told my mom where I was going and went upstairs to touch up the little make up I had on.

LUKES P.O.V

I was waiting at the restaurant where the guys where going to bring carter. it was safe to say I was nervous. what if she saw me and just walked away. I was almost certain that's what she would do.

I had been waiting for about 15 minutes when I got a text from Michael

*from mikeman*

"got carter on way"

I didn't reply just prepared myself for what I was going to say.

5 minutes had past but it felt like forever, when carter walked in with the 3 boys behind her. she just stood there jaw open as if she was going to speak but instead tears formed in her eyes and she ran out.

I ran after her calling her name.
