CHAPTER 11 THE BEST THING

CARTERS P.O.V

i woke up with a massive smile on my face remembering the events of the day before.  i turned over to my phone  looking at the time it was 6:30 before realizing what day it was. my birthday. i sighed knowing that if i didn't get up now id be late for school. i flung the covers off me and walked to the bathroom. i straightened my hair and put on a little bit of make up consisting of concealer, mascara and eyeliner. i walked back to my room and stood facing my wardrobe, i scanned it seeing nothing i wanted to wear but settling on my light denim skinny's and a a oversized blue jumper.

"carter breakfast is ready" my mom called from downstairs.

i didn't bother to answer back , i grabbed my black vans and headed down stair where my mom had pancakes with birthday candles in them. i sat down and started to eat them when my phone buzzed.

*text from hemmo*

" good morning beautiful. dont think i forgot your birthday. i will see you later i have something big planned. i love you carter! xx"

i smiled and pu the phone down. when Luke says  love you it kind of scares me, i mean we are only 17 do we even know what love is? i do know that i want to be with him for the rest of my life and have a family with him, and that he makes my heart skip a beat when he is near. i guess i really do love him.

i finished my breakfast, grabbed my things and headed for the door saying goodbye to my mom. i walked to the bus stop where Blake, Ethan and jack were all standing. god i hope they have forgotten its my birthday, you see they made a tradition that whenever its someone birthday we have to wear this ridiculous hat for the hole day.i was about 2 meters away when i was tackled t the ground by blake.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY CAR YOUR FINALLY 17!!!!!" she screamed while hugging me.jack and ethan joined the hug both of them hooking me around the neck and scrubbing my head.

"god you grow up to fast car" ethan sighed

"your only older than me by 3 months." I exclaimed

"still a baby to us girl" jack said while putting his arm around me.

soon our bus came and we arrived at school. calum, ashton, Michael and luke were all missing from registration and I wonders where they all were.

the rest of the day was boring and I didnt see the guys once. the last bell rang and I headed to the bus expecting blake ,jack and ethan to be there but they weren't our seats where empty. the bus pulled out the school and headed toward my house.

did they really all ditch me on my birthday?  maybe luke forgot about the text he sent this morning? I dont know. the bus came to my stoped and I hoped off putting my head phones in and walking down towards my house. I reached the door of my smallish house and took out my earphones while opening it.

"SURPRISE" about 20 people shouted while I stepped in the door and at the front of all these people my 7 best friends.

"what the fuck is going on?" I asked already knowing it was a surprise party

"well luke came and spoke to me about throwing you a birthday party and I thought it'd be a a great idea." my mom explained while hugging me.

everyone split of into separate groups laughing, drinking and eating but I couldn't find luke. I looked around for a while until a pair of familiar arms pulled me up to my roof. luke and me sat down on some pillows that I keep up there.

"so you skipped school to plan this whole thing?" I said taking in his scent.

"sure did. anything for my princess" he replied while pulling me closer to him.
