Mya's POV
I wake up again, sweating and breathing heavily. I'm glad that I didn't wake Tai this time. He's still sleeping soundly, while holding me close to him. He's laying on my chest and snoring loudly.
I slowly push Tai off of me. He groans and rolls over, grabbing his pillow. I walk quietly to the bathroom. Feeling the cool water on my face relaxes me a little. I sit down on the bathtub and bury my face into my hands.
I think about the terrifying dream that's been repeating in my mind all night. I told Tai that I don't know what I dreamed about. I do know, but at the same time, I don't.
I see a dark figure. It looks like a man and he's wearing a black cloak. He walks into my house and closes the door behind him. I follow him.
My house looks weird...It's dark and there's a black substance dripping from the walls. I follow the mysterious man up the stairs. As I reach the top, I hear a door slam, then screaming. After that, everything gets quiet and I wake up.
The dream was so clear...it seemed so real. I have no idea what it means, but I'm hoping and praying that it was just a stupid dream and meant nothing. I sink down on the bathroom floor, trying to pull myself together.
The door squeaks open and Tai appears. His dark eyes are wider than usual. He's shirtless, showing off his abs and long tattoo stretching across his chest.
"Are you okay?" he asks with a worried expression on his face.
"I'm fine," I tell him. He sits down on the toilet, grabs my arm, and pulls me to his lap. I rest my forehead on his while he plays with my ponytail.
He starts to drift off and has trouble keeping his head up.
"Tai," he looks up and opens his eyes as best as he can. "Go back to sleep," I tell him. He shakes his head and buries his face into my neck.
I get up and grab his hand. When we get to his bed, he flops down and passes out instantly. I roll my eyes and lay next to him. He wraps his arms and legs around me, holding me captive against his body.
...
I open my eyes to Tai laying next to me. He smiles as soon as I wake up. I smile back and he kisses me.
"You have morning breath," I giggle. He chuckles. "You do too." We both get up and brush our teeth.
"So what you wanna do today?" he asks with a smile. I look down at my hands and then back up at him.
"I want to go back home," I tell him. His smile fades.
"Okay," he says dryly with his back turned to me. I look down and stare at my hands again. I suddenly feel his strong arms wrap around me.
