Strong Enough 2

Chapter 23

"Tai!" I exclaim, running to him. I feel hundreds of eyes on us as he drops his bags and picks me up in the middle of the busy airport.

"We are so dramatic," he chuckles as his lips touch mine. I giggle and lead him towards my car.

"Nice place," Tai says as we enter the apartment.

"I did all the decorating," Marlon says, walking out of the kitchen. We all laugh.

I drag Tai over to the couch. He pulls me to his lap and wraps his arms around my waist.

"Soo.... what do you wanna do today?" I ask.

"I don't know," he says, kissing my neck. "Whatever you wanna do."

"Let's go to the park!" I exclaim. He let's out a deep chuckle before nodding.

We get to the park and start walking around. We jump rope with some kids and play this game with them called Foogazi.

After playing, we decide to walk down a trail with a little bridge and lake. It's so romantic. Tai and I watch the the water as it slowly flows by. He holds me close while resting his chin on my head.

"Mya?" a familiar accented voice echoes behind me. I turn around to see Danny walking towards us. "Hey," I say. "I knew that was you," he says, playfully punching my arm. We both laugh.

I feel Tai's grip around my waist tighten.

"So who's this?" Danny asks.

"This is Tai," I tell him.

"And Tai is?"

"My boyfriend."

He smirks. "Well nice to meet you Tai."

"Yeah," Tai says with irritation clear in his voice. Danny chuckles, says goodbye, and walks away. "Who was that?" Tai asks after a couple minutes. "He's just a guy I met on my first day," I tell him. "Well I don't like him." I laugh. "Yeah I can tell. But don't worry about him okay?" He sighs. "Okay."

I pull down on his shirt and kiss him. "Let's leave," he says, picking me up. I giggle and wrap my arms around his neck.

I wake up with Tai's legs wrapped around me and his face against my stomach. I slowly slide from underneath him.

"Morning," I say as I walk into the kitchen and see Marlon. "Good afternoon, lazy," he says. I look at the clock behind me. "Is it really one o'clock?" I ask. "Yep," he chuckles, grabbing a piece of bacon.

"Good morning," Tai says as he enters the kitchen. "It's one o'clock," I tell him. "For real?"

"Yep." Marlon and I laugh at the confused look on his face.

"I wanna take you to dinner today," Tai says when we finish our afternoon breakfast. "Okay," I tell him. "Where do you want to go?" He puts on his 'thinking face' before saying, "What about Aureole?"

"That sounds good," I say, kissing his cheek. He smiles. "Now go find something nice to wear. I can't have you looking ratchet at a nice restaurant." I glare at him and swat his arm before going to my room.

I open my closet and search for something to wear. I feel like I've been searching for hours. I look around my room that is now covered in clothes. "That's it. I give up," I mumble to myself, as I flop down on a pile of clothes. I get up a couple minutes later and walk over to my closet again.

I look through the clothes that are still hanging. I stop when I come across an unfamiliar dress.

It's a light purple, fitted dress with a golden necklace attached to it. The tag is still on it. I look down and see gold heels in the corner of my closet, and they're still in the box.

I grab the dress and heels, and try them on. They fit perfectly and I hate to brag, but I look good!

I decide to wear my shoulder length hair down and put on some lip gloss and a little eyeliner.

I walk to the living room. Tai is standing next to the couch, looking at his phone. He's wearing a nice black suit. His eyes go wide as soon as he sees me and he smiles.

"I knew you'd like that outfit," he says, walking towards me. "Why didn't you just give me the outfit in the first place?" He chuckles. " 'Cause I wanted you to search for it....and I wanted you to suffer a little." I punch his arm and he laughs.

"Girl, you look good!" Marlon exclaims when he walks into the room. "Thanks," I tell him.

Dinner with Tai was great! We talked, laughed, and just enjoyed each other. We were the loudest people in the entire restaurant and got stared at the entire time. They even threatened to kick us out for 'disturbing' other couples with our laughter. We didn't care though.

We ended up just leaving because old, bitter people kept shushing us. Who's quiet while they eat anyway?

Tai and I walk to the car, still laughing when I bump into something. Tai catches me.

"My bad, I'm sorry," I say, looking up at the dark figure. "We gotta stop meeting like this," he says. "Oh hey Danny," I say.

"Great. Just great," Tai mumbles behind me. I nudge him with my elbow and he huffs.

"Well I should get going," Danny says as he kisses my hand. "I'll see you later Mya. And nice seeing you again Tai." And with that, he walks off into the darkness.

"What does he mean he'll see you later?" Tai questions. "He goes to school with me. Remember?" He grabs my waist and rests his forehead on mine. "Sorry. I forgot."

"It's okay," I tell him as we walk to the car.

Hey guys! I just wanted to say that Foogazi is a made up game. I just came up with a word and this takes place a couple years from now so maybe there will be new playground games IDK.
