Mya's POV

I just sent Tai a message, asking him to come over. I'm now pacing back and forth across my room. Should I have sent him that message? Will he come here? Of course he will. I wait in my room for a while before I hear a knock on the door.

I walk downstairs slowly. I'm glad that no one is home so Tai and I can have some time to talk alone.

When I open the door I'm disappointed and confused because it's not Tai. Instead, I come face to face with a girl. She's really skinny and has bright pink hair. She's wearing a black tube top and a cheetah print mini skirt that is way too short. She just stands there with a devilish grin on her face, saying nothing.

"Umm... may I help you?" I say as nicely as I can. She looks me up and down, still smiling. "So you're that hoe who's been with my man," she says bitterly.

"Your man?" I ask.

"Yeah. Tai. I'm the one he left you for last week."

My blood starts to boil and all I see is red. I want to rip out her ugly, pink hair and throw her across the street. I try to remain calm. I know that I shouldn't cuss her out or start a fight.

"Why are you here?" I ask.

"Oh I just wanted to stop by and tell you to stay away from my man."

I open my mouth to speak but I'm interrupted by a familiar, deep voice.

"What are you doing here?"

The pink haired girl turns around and I lean out of the doorway to see who the voice belongs to. I see Tai walking towards us.

"I just came to see her," the girl says.

"Ima need you to go," he growls. The tone in his voice scares me a little. I've never heard him talk like that before and I can tell that the girl is scared too.

"I thought we talked about this already," he says. "I don't want you. I love her and I want you to stay away from both of us and go do what hoes do."

She stands there, still in shock by the tone of his voice. She looks at me and then Tai, and she walks away without a word.

I watch her as she walks down the street until she's not in sight anymore. I look up and Tai is staring at me with soft eyes. I stare back, taking in his appearance. He looks tired and weak. He has bags under his eyes and he's slumped over. He looks down at the ground, and I can tell that he's unsure whether to touch me or not. I grab his hand and pull him inside. He looks surprised by it but looks to the ground again when I go to lock the front door. I walk closer to him and for once, I'm lifting his chin so he can look straight at me. His eyes are glossy and he tries to look down again.

I wrap my arms around him and lay my head on his chest. I can hear his heart beat speed up and he wraps his arms around me. "I'm so sorry Mya," he tells me and I feel a tear on my cheek. I look up to see him crying, so I wipe his cheek and place a kiss on his lips. He picks me up and hugs me tight.

"I missed you," he whispers into my ear.

"I missed you too," I whisper back.

When he puts me down, I grab his hand and lead him upstairs.

"Have you slept," I ask as he sits on the bed.

"Not really," he answers.

"You need to sleep," I tell him. He takes off his jacket and lays down. I try to put the blanket over him, but he grabs my arm.

"Lay with me. Please." he says with pleading eyes. I climb into the bed and lay down beside him. He pulls me to his chest. "I love you," he says into my ear.

"I love you too," I say. Minutes later, he's snoring and holding me as close as he can to him.
