"Mya?" I take a step closer to her and cup her cheeks while staring deep into her eyes.

She pushes my hands down and wraps her arms around my neck. She just hugs me for a couple seconds before saying, "I'm pregnant."

I pull myself away from her quickly and grab her face again. "Are you serious?" I ask her. She nods slowly.

Mya's pregnant.

We're going to have a baby.

I'm going to be a father!

I lift her up and hug her while spinning around. "We're having a baby!" I exclaim. She giggles while pecking my lips. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I wasn't sure how you'd take it," she says. "I've been seeing Dr. Trevor, and he's been making sure that I was okay to have a baby."

"I knew those doctors were wrong," I tell her. It was almost two years ago when these doctors told us that Mya was incapable of having children. She was devastated and so was I. I'm so glad that the doctors were proven wrong.

Mya is smiling from ear to ear and I couldn't be happier.

...

"Well Mr. and Mrs. Baxter, it looks like you're going to have a beautiful baby girl," Dr. Trevor tells us. Mya smiles at the monitor as he shows her where the baby's face and hands are. I kiss her forehead, making her smile brighter.

The doctor wipes the gel stuff off of her stomach and she pulls her shirt down. She's about twenty three weeks now and her stomach is getting bigger and bigger.

"I'm so fat," she says as she grabs her purse. "You're not even that big yet," I chuckle. She slaps my arm as we walk into the waiting room and out of the hospital.

"What do you wanna eat? " I ask her as I start the car. "Ice cream," she replies. "Um.. ice cream for dinner?" I chuckle. "Yes please." She looks at me, giving me those puppy dog eyes of hers. "Fine," I say,  heading towards Dairy Queen.

We get to Dairy Queen and Mya orders just about the whole damn menu. "What am I gonna do with you?" I tease as she scarfs down the Oreo blizzard. She punches my arm and I chuckle. "You didn't want anything?" she asks. "No. I just wanna make sure you eat." She smiles while dipping fries in her blizzard. I laugh and head home.

...

"I wanna sing to the baby," I tell Mya as I set her down on our bed. "Okay," she says. I sit next to her and lay my head beside her stomach. I start to sing and after a couple seconds she starts to laugh uncontrollably.

"What you laughing at girl? " I ask with a raised brow. She calms herself down before speaking. "I'm sorry but you're a terrible singer."

I laugh with her while rubbing her stomach. "You're such a hater." She laughs again and tries to get up.

"Where you going?" I ask. "Just going to get some juice," she tells me.

I help her off of the bed and follow her into the kitchen. I grab a cup from the cabinet for her. She pours herself some orange juice and I hear a knock on the door. "I'll be back," I tell her. She nods as I leave the kitchen.

Once I get to the door,  I'm greeted by a tall, familiar looking man.

"Wassup?" I say to the stranger. "You look very familiar."

He just stands there, nervously staring at the ground. Then he finally speaks. "I umm...-"

He's cut off by the sound of breaking glass.

I turn around quickly to find Mya with a terrified look on her face. There's glass at her feet and orange juice slowly seeping in between her toes, but she won't move. She seems to be paralyzed. She's blinking rapidly, her eyes flashing with fear. Her hands are starting to shake at her sides.

"Mya? Baby what's wrong?" I ask. She ignores me and continues to stare at the stranger. It's silent for a few minutes as I wait for her to speak. She calms herself down as she gets ready to say something , but what she says automatically makes my blood boil.

"Jason?" her voice comes out as a shaky whisper.

I look towards the stranger and I feel every ounce of control that I have right now, leave my body as he looks up at Mya, nodding slowly.
