Peter arrived at school just in time to catch the beginning of his early study class. He was failing English (which honestly wasn't such a surprise) and he couldn't afford to get lower than a C on his next test. It flew by and he still hated 'An Inspector Calls' and didn't see the point in having to describe how the author uses language to describe one character or something, it gave him a full headache.

One that was done, he had a free period, so he headed to the library. He grabbed the first book he saw and made it look like he was reading it, when in reality he was thinking about why his alarm clock got stuck to his hand. There was no plausible explanation.

Peters headache had changed into a full blown explosion in his brain, so he ditched the book and headed outside. As he walked round the schools courtyard, he got a tingling sensation and turned his head. Time slowed down as he saw a football* flying at his head. He raised his hands quicker than he had ever done before and caught it.

A few people looked at him, before shrugging and continuing with their lives. Peter was stunned, but threw the ball back flawlessly after the boys playing catch shouted at him. After doing so, he continued walking until Karter ran up to him.

"Dude, I saw the catch, that was amazing! I thought you weren't sporty?" Karter said with a smile, before realising he was talking to Peter. "Wait, where the fuck have you been?"

"I got bitten by something, so I slept it off. I'm sorry I didn't reply to your texts." He said, avoiding eye contact with the boy infront if him.

"Damn, okay, why didn't you go to the hospital?" Karter asked, concerned. Peter shrugged, failing to mention the reasoning that the bills would be too much. "Anyway, we never hang out and I was thinking, maybe we could go and see Rogue One? I know you love Star Wars."

Holy Crap. Freeze. Rewind. Karter had lowkey asked Peter on a date. Peters mind went into overdrive trying to think of a sassy response.

"It's a date." He said, the joking tone failing to be heard. His eyes widened. "I- I mean, um, shit." He stumbled over his words, realising his fuck up. Karter his his smirk.

"A date. I'd like that. I'll text you about it, see you later." Karter said, quietly excusing himself from the awkward situation. Although he meant what he said, he couldn't stop blushing, which was unusual.

Peter stood in shock, only moving when Ned came over and pulled him to his next lesson.

"So your bad flirting scored you a date?" Ned asked curiously in science. Peter was so confused, did Karter mean it? Was it an actual date? What the hell just happened?

"I don't know, I think so?" Peter replied, he had no clue. Ned laughed loudly, earning a loud shush from the teacher.

"Are you gonna go?" Ned followed up, getting far too emotionally attached to the budding relationship way too soon. Peter shrugged. He wasn't sure he had the strength to show up and not make a fool out of himself.

"Maybe? If Karter still wants to go." He added quickly. The day had started weirdly, and was getting progressively more confusing. The lesson ended and Peter went to lunch, Ned eagerly following in hopes that he'd see some Keter action. Little did they know, they'd see some action. Some spider action. Ish.
