The week flew by, and eventually everyone forgot about the shooting. But Peter didn't. He knew that if someone didn't stand up for the little guy, many more people would die. Karter hadn't really spoken to him, and he'd started hanging out with Flash the bully instead of his boyfriend. Peter tried to ignore it, but it still hurt.

In the week that followed, Peter began to test his abilities properly. He climbed walls, shot webs which he had manufactured, and noticed how his chest had rapidly shrunk. Peter, in a spur of the moment decision, made himself a costume so he was free to web sling and climb without being recognised. The week after that, Peter took on some petty crime; robberies, fights etcetera. It was going well, until about four weeks after the shooting.

Peter was perched on a roof top having just gotten off the phone with Karter. The two hung out very little, but their texting and calling had almost doubled. Anyway, Peter sat on the roof and gazed out over the city. Everything was calm, no one was screaming and nothing was happening. The only negative thing was that it was that time of the month again. But that was about to change. Directly to his right, a huge explosion rippled through a small bodega, taking out the surrounding apartments. Peter's eyes widened, and he shot a web across the street and swung in the direction of the explosion.

Peter landed on his feet infront of the remains of the apartments, eyes wide in shock. He turned around at a gasp, and saw Karter. His boyfriend was on the ground, bleeding and shaking, and Peter went to dart towards him when Karter raised his arm. He pointed at something behind Peter, and the boy with powers turned around.

From the smoke and flames came a figure, dressed in a mass up catsuit of black and dark blue with padded multicoloured armour of the same colour scheme. The figure had a hood, but blue braids hung from the now obviously females head. A bandana the same shade as the catsuit covered the lower half of the woman's face, piercing brown eyes glaring back at him.

"Who are you?" Peter asked, cringing at the voice crack he was blessed with at that very moment. The figure tilted its head, before pushing off the ground and landing on a building a block away. Peter was horrified - the female had more powers than he did. He looked briefly at Karter, who was being given medical attention from a paramedic.

"Go get them, Spiderman." Karter shouted, the affectionate term used in their texting finally weaselling itself into public use. Peter nodded, and sling a web on a building near where the female landed. He flipped onto the roof, and saw the female wasn't alone. Another female stood beside her, wearing the same catsuit and mask but only in black, purple, and green. A mask covered her face as well, but her eyes were a bright green and her hair was purple.

"I'll ask again," Peter began, sneaking up on the two. They whipped around, and Peter threw webs at their feet, pinning them down. "Who are you?" The two looked at each other briefly, before glaring back at Peter.

"I am Serrure." The blue girl said, her voice distorted slightly making it sound ethereal. She raised her gloved hand and blue mist swirled around it. If Peter wasn't desperately trying to act cool, he would have totally shit himself right there and then.

"I am Cleophas." The purple hair girl said, her eyes glowing a neon green making a rock float. Her voice was also distorted, but that was the least of Peters concern now. He decided he didn't want to mess with them, but stood his ground. "And who are you? Puny girl who wears pyjamas?"

"N-no." Peter stuttered, earning another glare from Serrure. "I'm not a girl, I'm Spiderman." He said, brushing off the misgendering. It was a common occurrence or some reason.

"Forgive us, Spiderman." Cleophas said, her eyes returning to normal. "It is not usual for us to meet new superheroes with such high voices that identify as Male." She teased, and Peter flinched slightly. Peter was confused at her wording, but ignored it.

"You blew up perfectly good buildings and almost killed my-" Peter stopped himself short. "Almost killed a bunch of people." Peter covered up his mistake, and the two females infront of him exchanged a look. It seemed they were amused by the child before them, and when they looked back at him, Peter gulped.

"Again," Serrure said, her handing reaching into a holster on her leg. Peter almost jumped back, memories of the failed date flashing through his mind, and held back a wince. "Forgive us. It's our job." Cleophas followed Serrure's movement, and the two clutched onto what Peter assumed to be guns.

"Why should I forgive you or let you go?" Peter asked.

"Forgive your enemies, Spiderman." Serrure replied pulling out a dagger, Cleophas following her action. "But remember their names." The two girls threw their daggers at the webs holding them, the daggers ricocheting on the floor and back into their hands, and the two vanished in a mix of green and blue light. Peter winced at the show, and stood there in awe. A siren snapped him back to reality and he ran into the alley way that held his bag and changed into his normal clothes as quickly as he could. Peter the sprinted to whether base of the explosion, and found Karter.

Chasing Serrure and Cleophas could wait for another day.
