ACT III, SCENE V * Epiphany

Hey.

Before we jump into this chapter, it is with a heavy heart that I announce...

This is the final chapter of 'Liar, Liar'.

As much as I would love to go into detail about what happens between Karter and Ronan's meeting with Liz's Dad and the night of homecoming, I feel like the story is becoming too long, and straying from its original purpose.

It's original purpose was to shed a light on the lack of transgender representation. Now, the fact Peter is actually trans is over looked, and I really want to write something where I can revert to the original meaning.

I wrote this when I was in a dark place, and so much has happened. That's another reason I'm ending it here (and the fact people want a happy ending, more chapters would make that problematic.)

A) I went through a traumatic illness which affected me in many ways, mainly mentally, although my physicality was beaten down.

B) I came out as bisexual to my family, and got therapy to do with my gender identity. I've learnt about testing labels, and the one I go by now (non binary) no longer fits how I feel. So, I'm letting go of the human need to label everything, and simply being.

C) I began to learn how to love myself. Karter and Ronan and Derek and Abby and all my beautiful OC's taught me it's okay to be flawed, and BTS (ironically, hate me if you want) taught me to flaunt my flaws.

With these three factors, I realised that this book began to bloom out of repressed hatred for life, and became my coping method. Unfortunately, not unlike a favourite song you set as your alarm in the morning, I grew to resent this book. Now, however, I want to put the darkness of 'Liar Liar' behind me, and start a fresh. I'm going to write about Peter's time in Germany in extra chapters in the end of this book, yes, but I will also have a sequel out by the time Spider Man: Far From Home come out. It will be Infinity War. (13/07/19 - edit: bitch, we thought)

The original plan was to have it all in this book, but now I feel that it's long and messy. Keep an eye out for 'The Truth Untold', the sequel to 'Liar Liar', coming very soon. ( edit: again, we thought yikes )

Everyone reading this, including my regular commenters and voters, have made me feel so incredibly appreciated, and I hope you have enjoyed 'Liar Liar' as much I, inevitably, have. This book has been in the works since the August of 2017, and I think with this new year, it should finally come to a long awaited end.

I'd like to thank OrloRai for, in the summer term of year nine after seeing a head canon I sent to a group chat, offhandedly mention how I should write a fanfic about it. I'd also like to thank ew28_x xpotterfanx and WinterBlanks for listening to my occasional updates and rants on the groupchat when the reads on this book went up. To Emma, for existing and listening and advising and sending me a tumblr post about how it would make sense for Peter Parker to be transgender, even if your Wattpad account no longer exists. (And to ellierosexo for sticking to her promise (I hope) not reading this book after I mentioned my Wattpad account in the changing rooms, you can read it now, I guess lol.)
