*Leon's POV*

I rolled over to see a sleeping Kara, so peacefully like an angel wrapped in black silk and lace, her hair so soft and smooth with the after smell of Maple Remedy. I gently touched her cheek with the back of my hand and she let out a tired little groan. So adorable, yet so aggressive like a little, cuddly sleeping bear. I thought. I couldn't help myself to smile. Here I am, laying beside the woman I love, who risked her life and everything to save me. I don't think I could be complete without her. If I hadn't met her that day when we were kids, she and I wouldn't be here right now and I think she joined the agency right after I joined to make sure I didn't get hurt. She always felt like it was her job to watch after me, even when we were kids. Before I met her, I didn't have much of a childhood. It's something I try to forget, but thankfully Kara help me through it. She didn't leave my side not once. We've both been through some really tough shit and I don't see how we're both even alive after it all. It's because we have each other to keep both of us going. When I was laying in that hospital bed, all I could think about was her, if I was ever going to see her again. It sounded like I could hear her speaking to me, telling me fight to live when I should have died those times. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. She's something I can't describe in words, but the amount of love I have for her, you can't even imagine. She groaned and moved closer to me. I just wrapped my arm around her and admired the beautiful woman beside me. She looks like a rare, rose with deadly thorns. But, I still can't believe she's the daughter of Albert Wesker and what Simmons said, still has me puzzled. "That's where you're wrong, Agent Kennedy. If you haven't noticed what's been going on with her, you clearly are blind. She has power, she's more powerful than Wesker. She just doesn't know it yet. She just doesn't know how to use it or channel it. Oh, but she will. All it takes is something to trigger all that anger harbored inside her and now I know exactly what it is. You......" Could I really be Kara's trigger? Her weakness? "Every time she's around you, she lets her guard down, exposing the one thing she cares for the most. She acts like she doesn't have a weakness, but she's has plenty." How does Simmons plan on triggering Kara? What does he want to do with her? And what about Wesker? Where has he gone? Is he even still alive? All these questions I need answers for, but I'm afraid that I won't like the answers that I'll get. I shook the feeling away and looked back at Kara, who was still sound asleep. She moved her hand to my chest and clenched my shirt lightly, gently moving her head towards me.

"Leon?" She said tiredly with a slight smile.

"Yes, babe?"

"What time is it?" She asked. I looked at the clock and it read 9:35 am. "It's 9:35–" I heard a huge explosion outside our hotel room and it made me and her both jump out of bed with our guns raised.

"What the hell was that?!" She said.

"That's a good question!"

I had the sense of feeling that something terrible is happening and we need to leave, now.
