We boarded the plane bound for Raccoon City. I sat back into the seat, thinking about Kara. I hate myself for letting Chris stand in the way and I hate myself for letting her go. After this mission, I'm setting out on my own to find her. I have to go after her. There's no one else to blame, but myself for letting her go in there alone in the first place. None of this would've happened if I just went with her. But she's so bullheaded. She'd rather die then send any of us into a trap. Jason Hayes slipped out of our hands thanks to Albert Wesker and the rest of the Umbrella Corporation. God only knows where he's at now. But I'm going to leave those two to the B.S.A.A. Chris just kept staring at his rifle, Piers was cleaning his, both uttering not a word since we boarded. All I could think about was what Kara said. "You weren't there to see what he done to me." The only thing I could possibly think of was Kara being programmed to kill us. Anything else I was stumped.
"Oh, my God..." Rebecca said in shock.
"What?"
"Come look."
I got up and walked to one of the windows. Infected were everywhere among the ruins of what was once Raccoon City. Even mutated infected, all wondering around like a bunch of animals in giant hordes.
"It's been years. My first day on the job as a rookie cop and the incident happened. I'll never forget it."
"You were one of the survivors weren't you?" Rebecca asked. I just nodded. "I can't imagine what you three have been through. I was just only a medic in the S.T.A.R.S. Unit in Raccoon City then. Still fresh on the Unit."
"Same as me. Kara was there when the whole incident happened. That's where we reunited." I said. "She was working for the DSO too at the time."
Rebecca just nodded and continued to stare out the window.
"Do you think anyone is left alive down there that could possibly be trapped?"
"Not a chance. If anyone was trapped inside a building there, they would've died. The amount of mutated infected there are, the Lickers, they would've found them."
"What if they were like us?"
"Well, then they'd be smart to leave Raccoon City instead of staying around, but here we are going back."
"So, you two are very familiar with this place, how about you give Piers and I some background and the layout about it?" Chris said with a raised eyebrow.
"There's nothing left of this city, Chris. The background was home to an underground Umbrella Facility where the Red Queen went homicidal, locked down the facility and killed everyone in it. Someone had released the virus and took the vaccines. That someone was Alice Abernathy aka Project Alice."
"I remember her helping my sister and a bunch of other survivors before Dr. Isaacs found her again. Claire told me all about her. Then that's when she mentioned about a place untouched and isolated from infection called Arcadia in Alaska."
