A/N
Hello! Welcome to the Legolas x reader that nobody wanted. This will be based of the movie, so the updates may be slow. Anyway you can be any 'type' (Hobbit, Elf, Human, Dwarf, etc) ,but you have been raised by Lady Galadriel. Note that when the writing is like this when someone is speaking, it means that they are speaking in Elvish. Well hope you enjoy. Also I'm going to be putting some of my favourite songs up there bc I need to promote my bands ok.

You grabbed some weapons. A sword, a dagger, a bow and some arrows. Lady Galadriel sent you to go to the council in Rivendell. Why you out of every other eligible elf, you could not say. However it has always been your ambition to go on a quest. You knew it was selfish, but you were glad she had chosen you, instead of any one else.

You smirked as you thought about Ilariel's face when she'd hear that you were chosen instead of her. Good thing she had the night watch tonight. She'll be able to see you when you 'slipped' away 'trying' not to be noticed.

You crept out of the gate, purposely stepping on a stick. As you anticipated one of Ilariel's arrows flew passed your head.
"(Y/n)," she yelled. "What are you doing?"
"Oh, just going to a top secret council in Rivendell." You responded coolly.
"No," she said with a slight tremor to her voice. "There's no way she could have picked you!"
"Well she did, and it's no surprise," you responded matter of factly. "Your arrow missed me by a mile." She couldn't think of anything else to say, so she just glared at you.
"Well if you'd excuse me, I have a secret council to go to." She stared at you with absolute loathing in her eyes. You smirked at seeing her, the girl who thought she was better then everyone, look so defeated and crushed.

The journey was long, but you managed to get to Rivendell a few hours in advance of the meeting.
"Welcome," a voice said. "To Rivendell."
"Elrond?" You asked.
"To be honest. I thought Lady Galadriel was going to send Ilariel."
"She thought so too." You said smirking.
"Your arrogance seems to grow every time I see you." Elrond said, a hint of amusement in his voice. You smiled and headed to the kitchen to get something to eat.

You, being the only one from Lothorien didn't know anyone here. There were a few elves from The Woodland Realm. Some dwarfs from who-knows-where. A Hobbit. Men from Gondor, and a ranger.

Elrond primarily talked. He talked about the situation, the quest, and the dangers. By this time you knew some of the peoples names. The blond elf was Legolas, one of the dwarfs was named Gimli, the hobbit was Frodo, Boromir was the captain of Gondor, and the ranger was in fact no ranger, but the heir to the throne of Gondor, his name was Aragorn.

"Bring forth the ring Frodo." He finished.
"So it is true!" Boromir said shocked.
"Sauron's ring! The ring of power!" Legolas cried in disbelief.
"The doom of man!" Gimli said grimly.
Boromir stood up with excitement.
"It is a gift... a gift to the foes of Mordor. Why not use the ring? Long has my father, the Steward of Gondor, held the forces of Mordor at bay... by the blood of our people are your lands kept safe. Give Gondor the weapon of the enemy... let us use it against him!"
You were about to stand up and confront him, but Aragorn was faster.
"You cannot wield it. None of us can. The one ring answers to Sauron alone... it has no other master.
"And what would a ranger know of this matter?" Boromir said, glaring at Aragorn. Legolas stood up in anger.
"This is no mere ranger. He is Aragorn son of Arathorn. You owe him your allegiance."
"Aragorn? This is Isildur's heir?" Boromir said with a disbelieving smirk. You would have punched him right there. He was so arrogant. You knew it was unfair to think that, seeing as you were slightly arrogant as well.
"And heir to to the throne of Gondor." Said Legolas. You admired his loyalty to Aragorn.
"Sit down, Legolas." Aragorn said.
"Gondor needs no king!" Said Boromir. At this point you stood up.
"And who are you to judge? Last time I checked you were the Steward's son, not a prince!" Boromir stared at you with disbelief. It must have been the first time a girl talked back to him. You could tell by the look on his face. You smiled at the thought.

"That is quite enough. (Y/n) sit down." Gandalf said. You sat back down and let out a sigh. You glanced over at Legolas and saw that he was staring at you. You quickly turned your head away, and you felt your cheeks growing red.

"Aragorn is right we cannot use it." Gandalf continued.
"You only have one choice... the ring must be destroyed." Elrond finished.
"Well what are we waiting for?" Gimli yelled as he rushed forward and tried to cut the ring in half with his axe, of course the axe broke in a million pieces. You hid your face with your hands to suppress a laugh. The stupidness of dwarfs still surprised you.
"The ring cannot be destroyed, Gimli, son of Gloin, by any craft that we here possess. The ring was made in the fires of Mount Doom... only there can it be unmade. It must be taken into Mordor, and cast back into the fiery chasm from whence it came. One of you must do this." Elrond said annoyed. I would be too if I had held a secret council and everyone kept fighting.
"One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its black hates are guarded by more that just Orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is barren waste land, riddled with fire and ash and dust... the very air you breath is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly!" Boromir said in his usual arrogant manner. You rolled your eyes at this. As if we didn't know that it would be hard!
"Have you heard nothing Lord Elrond has said? The Ring must be destroyed!" Legolas yelled, I had never seen anyone so angry.
"And I suppose you think you're the one to do it?!" Gimli yelled.
"And if we fail, what then? What happens when Sauron takes back what is his!" Boromir yelled. At this point all heck broke loose.
"I will be dead before I see the Ring in the hands of an elf! Never trust an elf!" Gimli yelled, you found this slightly offensive.
"At least elf's aren't as greedy as dwarfs!" You yelled. Gandalf hit his staff on the ground, signalling silence.
"Do you not understand? While we bicker among ourselves, Sauron's power grows! No one will escape it! You will all be destroyed, your homes burnt and your families put to the sword!"
"I will take it... I will take it... I will take the Ring to Mordor!" A small voice behind everyone yelled. You turn around to see Frodo talking for the first time in this council.
"Tough... I do not know the way."
"I will help you bear this burden," Gandalf said. "Frodo Baggins, as long as it is yours to bear."
"If, by my life of death, I can protect you, I will," Aragorn stepped forward and kneeled in front of Frodo. "You have my sword."
"You have my bow." Legolas said bravely.
"And my axe." Gimli glared at Legolas. Boromir walked towards Frodo and you braced yourself.
"You carry the fate of us all, little one."
Now it was your turn.
"As the soul representer of Lothorien, I grant you my aid."
"I don't deem that wise," A voice called. You recognized Boromir's. "You will only slow us down." He walked up to you and held your face in his hand. "Of course we could use you for other purposes." You slapped him hard in the face, you hit him so hard that he fell on the ground.
"If you think I would agree to serving such purposes, you are sadly mistaken!" You yelled.
"No need to get offended. You probably can't even fight." He grumbled. You pulled out your bow and an arrow, and pointed it at his head.
"She was trained by Lady Galadriel herself. I would not provoke her." Gandalf warned. The rest of the council stared at me.
"You may lower your bow." Gandalf continued.
"If you wish." You sighed.

A plump hobbit rushed out of a bush.
"Mr. Frodo's not going anywhere without me!" Two other hobbits rushed out of another bush.
"Oi! We're coming too! You'll have to send us home tied up in a sack to stop us." The first one said.
"Anyway... you need people of intelligence on this sort of mission... quest... thing...." the second one said.
"Well that rules you out Pip." You let out a small chuckle at this.

"Ten companions... so be it. You shall be the 'Fellowship of the Ring'." Elrond exclaimed. You felt pride swell up inside of you.
"Great were are we going?" At this everyone laughed even Elrond.
