I'm sorry the updates are slow. I just haven't been able to find all that much time to write. Also, there's this really good imagines writer Fandom_Imagines_. They make great imagines. They don't have Orlando Bloom imagines yet, but I'm sure if you request one they'd be happy to make it.

The road to Helm's Deep was a long one, so you and Legolas passed the time telling stories. He told you wonderful stories of Mirkwood, and you told him stories about Lothlorien. Out of all the stories he told you, your favourite was the one with the dwarves.

"Thirteen dwarves entered Mirkwood. They were on a quest to reclaim their homeland. The infamous dwarven kingdom, Erebor. They were locked up, for Thranduil had no love for dwarves. He tried to strike a bargain with the prince of the dwarves'. Aid for the jewels that were as white as the clouds above. The dwarven prince declined. For he was not fond of elves. Thranduil was furious. He sentenced the dwarves to 100 years in the elven dungeon. Somehow, they escaped. They later went on to slay the dragon. Thranduil had heard the dragon's death cry. He gathered his troops and marched to Dale. He was determined to get those jewels. They were made for his wife, who had died many centuries ago. 'The Battle of the Five Armies' they called it. The dwarven prince and his two nephews died in the battle. Thranduil did get the jewels, but the battle had changed him. He was no longer cold and bitter, but kind and caring. The dwarven prince was never forgotten in Mirkwood, and now, every elf knows the tale.

"Thranduil was your father wasn't he?" You had said when he had finished.
"Y-yes..." Legolas confirmed.
"You said his wife had died... was... was she your mother." You asked avoiding eye contact.
"Yes..." He said sadness filling his voice. You grabbed his arm and locked your eyes with his.
"There was no need to hide it from me." You said.
"I'm sorry. I did not want to burden you." Legolas said trying to avert his eyes.
"I know what it feels like to lose someone you love." You said firmly, tears in your eyes.
"(Y/n)..." Legolas said, noticing your pain and sadness. He was the only person, except Lady Galadriel, to have seen you cry. The first one to know your vulnerability. He pulled you in closer, until your lips were almost touching.

A scream could be heard from ahead, breaking the moment. You sighed in disappointment, before running to see what happened. Legolas at your side.

A Warg came into view, an orc on its back. Hama, a guard, was lying on the ground a huge wound in his side. Legolas shot the warg. You ran up to Hama's  side. You tried to help him, but he had already lost too much blood.

While you were examining Hama, the orc was creeped up behind you. Poised his blade ready to strike. Legolas saw this and quickly put an end to the orc.

You could see Aragon running up the hill.
"A scout!" Legolas yelled to him. Aragorn hurried down the hill. You and Legolas prepared for the rest of the orcs to come. You pulled out your daggers and he readied his bow. You ran towards the orcs.
"(Y/n)!" Legolas cried in shock. It was one against who knows how many. You knew there was little chance of survival, but you needed to protect the women and children.

Legolas shot at the orcs as you stabbed them with your daggers. You were relieved to see Theoden and some of his men ride over the hill. Aragorn and Gimli among them.

The fight seemed to last forever. You had killed so many orcs that you lost count.

When it ended Legolas ran up to you.
"(Y/n)? Have you seen Aragorn?" He asked you worry taking over his features. Your eyes widened. The only time you had seen Aragon was at the beginning of the battle. You slowly shook your head.
"Aragorn?" Legolas called out.
"Aragorn?" Gimli repeated.

You heard a faint laugh from a dying orc. You ran over to him, and Gimli raised his axe threateningly.
"Tell me what happened and I will ease your passing." Gimli growled
"He's dead... he took a little tumble off the cliff." The orc wheezed. Legolas grabbed the orc's throat.
"You lie!" He's spat. At that moment the orc died. The orc was holding something in his hand.
"That's the Evenstar Arwen gave Aragorn." You whispered. Legolas quickly grabbed it, and ran up to the edge of the cliff. You placed a hand on Legolas's shoulder.

Gamling walked up to Theoden, awaiting his orders.
"Get the wounded on horses. The wolves of Isengard will return. Leave the dead." Theoden said.
"Leave the dead? They deserve a proper funeral!" You said angrily.
"We do not have the time." Theoden said calmly.
"Do not have the time? These men died for you. They died for Rohan! You should honour them!" You spat.
"This is not a woman's business." Theoden said. You would have punched him, but he was a king, and you didn't feel like getting executed. Instead, you turned away in disgust, promising yourself you would never talk to him ever again.

"Come." Theoden said. You put a hand on Legolas's shoulder and urged him forward.
