I'm sorry I couldn't update. Like I said, Wattpad keeps deleting the chapter. Anyway, I hope it doesn't happen again. To make up for not updating yesterday I'm going to post this part early.

"The walls of Moria!" Gimli announced.  Gandalf touched the rock wall between the trees. Slowly, faint lines appear like slender veins of luminous silver running through the stone.
"Itidin... it mirrors only starlight and moonlight."
The moon rose over the mountain casting a faint glow over you. The lines grew thicker and clearer, forming ancient letters and symbols.

"It reads, "The door of Durin. Lord of Moria. Speak, friend, and enter."" Gandalf read.
"What do you suppose that means?" Merry asked Pippin.
"It's quit simple. If you are a friend, speak the password and the doors will open." Gandalf said confidently. Gandalf held up his hand and started chanting.
"Annon edhellen, edro hi ammen!"

You had been waiting out here for what seemed like hours. You watched Gandalf try to open the door using spells. Merry and Pippin were throwing rocks at the water.
"Do not disturb the water." Aragorn said ominously. He and Boromir exchange a glance, and he reached for his sword.

"It's a riddle," Frodo whispered. "Speak, friend, and enter. What is the elvish word for friend?"
"Mellon!" You and Legolas said in union. You looked over at him and you saw that he was staring at you. You blushed and quickly turned your head away. The rock face divided in two and the doors swung open.

You stepped warily into Moria. It was too quiet. Far to quiet.
"So, master elf, you will enjoy the fabled hospitality of the dwarves; roaring fires, malt beer, red meat off the bone. This, my friend, is the home of my cousin Balin... and they call this a mine... a mine!" Gimli laughed.
"It is technically a mine." You mumbled. Legolas laughed and you laughed along with him.
"What did she say?" Gimli asked. This made you and Legolas laugh even more.

Gandalf lit his staff and you saw hundreds of dead dwarves on the ground.
"This is no mine... it's a tomb." Boromir said grimly.
"Oh... no... no... no...!" Gimli fell to his knees. Legolas pulled an arrow out of one of the dwarves.
"Goblins!" He spat.
"We make for the gap of Rohan. We should never have come here!" Boromir said.

Suddenly Frodo was pulled to the ground by a long sinuous tentacle. You, Aragorn and Boromir rushed forward to help him. Aragorn severed the tentacle that was dragging Frodo. You and Boromir fought the other tentacles off. Your efforts were in vain, though, as twenty more tentacles shot out of the water.
"Into the mines!" Gandalf called.
"Legolas!" Boromir ordered. Legolas shot the creatures head. With a shattering echo, the creature ripped the door away, causing tons of rocks to fall over the entrance. You were plunged into darkness.

You not being able to see reached out and hugged the closest thing to you. Surprisingly the thing hugged you back. A faint light rose from Gandalf's staff throwing a creepy glow over the wizards face. You looked up to see that the 'thing' you were hugging was Legolas. You quickly detached yourself. You felt you cheeks turn hot, and you turned away so that he couldn't see you blush.

"We now have but one choice. It's a four day journey to the other side.  Let us hope that our presence will go unnoticed." Gandalf said ominously.

You were walking through a dwarf cemetery. It was a sinister and scary place. It made you very jumpy. You would jump at the slightest noise. Legolas hid behind a pillar and jumped out at you causing you to punch him in the face.
"If you scare me one more time Legolas Greenleaf I will slice off your head!" You yelled.
"Would you know?" He said holding his nose and laughing.
"Be quiet!" Gandalf ordered. You and Legolas suppressed a laugh.

You had reached a fork in the road. Three tunnels that lead into darkness.
"I have no memory of this place." Gandalf muttered.

You sat down and started thinking. If you got lost in Moria there could be a chance that you wouldn't ever get out. Legolas sat down next to you.
"May I sit or will you slice my head off?"
"You may sit." You said surprised.
"Ummm... how's life?" He asked awkwardly.
"Ever since I've met you it's been terrible." You said sarcastically. He laughed.
"That makes me feel really appreciated." He smirked. He turned to you.
"(Y/n)... I..." he was suddenly cut off my Gandalf.
"Ah! It's that way." Gandalf points to the right tunnel.
"He's remembered!" Merry cried in happiness.
"No, but the air doesn't smell so foul down there. If in doubt, Meriadoc, always follow your nose." Gandalf laughed.

"Behold! The great realm and dwarf city of Dwarrowdelf!" Everyone looked around in awe.
"Well there's an eye opener and no mistake!" Said Sam.
"I've seen better." You concluded. Everyone stared at you and you heard Gimli's muffled sniffles.
"I mean... wow!" You covered.

Suddenly Gimli rushed forward.
"Gimli!" Gandalf called.

He ran into a room filed with goblin and dwarf skeletons. In the middle is what seems to be a tomb.
"No... no... oh, no!" He sobbed.

"Here lies Balin, son of Fudin, Lord of Moria." He is dead, then. It's as I had feared." Gandalf read.
Gandalf carefully lifted up an old dusty book.
"We must move on, we cannot linger." Legolas whispered urgently to Aragorn.
"I agree with Legolas," you said. "We are definitely not alone in these mines."
"They have taken the bridge and the second hall: we have bared the gates... but we cannot hold them for long... the ground shakes... drums in the deep... we cannot get out... a shadow moves in the dark. Will no- one save us? They are coming." Gandalf read. You heard a sudden CRASH!

"Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in next time and rid us of your stupidity!" Gandalf said angrily.

You heard drums from the depths bellow. They kept getting louder and louder.
"They're coming." You whispered.
