Woah! We reached 300+ reads. I really did not expect that.

When you and Legolas reached the others your laughter immediately vanished. Aragon was holding Theoden to stop him from killing Grima. He whispered something to Theoden, and went to help Grima up. Grima spat in Aragorn's outstretched hand, and ran away.
"Did we miss something?" You whispered to Legolas. He let out a small laugh and nodded his head.

"Hail, Theoden King!" Aragorn said getting on one knee. Slowly everyone else followed. Theoden looked around before realizing something was wrong.
"Where is Theodred? Where is my son?" He asked.

You never liked funerals. Sure there weren't that many in Lorien, but when there were they would always remind you of your parents' death.

You walked down the steps behind the guards carrying Theodred. You felt tears fall down your cheeks, and a faint sob escaped from your mouth. You were remembering you parents' funeral.   Legolas took your hand a squeezed it gently. You gave him a faint smile, tears still running down your cheeks. He returned your smile, and whispered a few comforting words in elvish.

The burial wasn't any more cheerful. Eowyn was singing a song in a language you did not understand. You could tell she was trying very hard to hold in her tears.

Two children had been rushed into the Golden Hall a few minutes prior. They were eating ravenously.
"They had no warning. They were unarmed. Now the Wild Men are moving through the Westfold, burning as they go. Rick, cot and tree." Eowyn said.
"Where is Mama?" The little girl asked. You put a blanket around her.
"You'll see her soon." You promised. You knew what it was like to lose your parents, and you promised yourself you would take care of them until they found their mother again.

"This is but a taste of the terror Saruman has unleashed. All the more potent for he is driven now by fear of Sauron. Ride out and meet him head on. Draw him away from you women and children. You must fight." Gandalf told Theoden.
"You have 2000 good men riding North as we speak. Eomer is loyal to you. His men will return and fight for their king." Aragorn added.
"They will be 300 leagues from here by now. Eomer cannot help us now. I know what it is you want from me... but I will not. Bring further death to my people. I will not risk open war." Theoden said.
"Open war is upon you, wether you would risk it or not." Aragorn shot back.
"When I last looked... Theoden, not Aragorn, was King of Rohan." Theoden said coolly.
"Then What is the king's decision?" Gandalf asked.

"Helm's Deep!" Gandalf growled.
"They flee to the mountains when they should stand and fight. Who will defend them if not their king?" Gimli agreed.
"He's only doing what he thinks best for his people. Helm's deep has saved them in the past." Aragorn said.
"There is no way out of that ravine. Theoden is walking into the trap. He thinks he's leading them to safety. What they will get is a massacre. Theoden has a strong will, but I fear for him. I fear for the survival of Rohan. He will need you before the end, Aragorn. The people of Rohan need you. The defences have to hold." Gandalf said, still as angry as ever.
"They will hold." Aragorn said. He wasn't going to give up. You rolled your eyes. When will Aragorn realize that Helm's Deep will not save them?

"The Grey Pilgrim. That's what they used to call me. Three hundred lives of men I've walked this earth, and now I have no time. With luck, my search will not be in vain." Gandalf mounted Shadowfax.
"Look to my coming at first light on the fifth day. At dawn, look to the east." Aragorn nods his head and Gandalf rides in the search for... whatever he's looking for. (You don't know what he's looking for yet, ok. Good we're on the same page.)

You and Legolas were walking ahead of the people of Rohan. Seeing as you two were the most skilled with a bow, they had put you in front so that you could shoot any unwanted dangers.
"Have any good stories?" Legolas asked.
"Well, once there was this pack of wargs that were roaming around the woods of Lothlorien, and Lady Galadriel sent me, the captain of the guard and some other warriors. Anyway, before we left the captain of the guard said to me 'women should not be fighting, trained by Lady Galadriel or not. You should stay behind. You will only slow us down.' I ignored him and went with them anyway. Then we had a party to celebrate our victory. Soon enough a slow song came on. The captain came up to me and asked me to dance." You said.
"I bet that was a mistake." Legolas chuckled.
"It was. I kicked him in the gut and walked away." You said grinning.
"Teach anyone to mess with you." Legolas chuckled again.
"Yeah..." you smiled widely at Legolas and he stared into your eyes. You held his gaze.

"We will camp here for the night." Theoden announced. You sighed. That had been such a wonderful moment. Realizing what you had just thought, you shook your head. Stop thinking about him!

You aided him in putting up your tent. Theoden had put you two in the same tent. The tent was at the borders of the camp. He had put you together for the same reasons as why you had to lead the people of Rohan. Because you and Legolas were the best archers blah blah blah.

Afterwards, you decided to bring in the healing supplies. After you had set it down, you turned around quickly and tripped. You closed your eyes and prayed that you wouldn't dislocate your knee again. To you surprise you felt strong arms stop your fall. You opened your eyes only to stare into blue depths of Legolas's eyes.

You heard someone enter the tent and you pulled away as quick as you could.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything." Said Eowyn. Your cheeks grew red.
"You're not interrupting anything." Legolas said quickly. His cheeks were also red, much to your surprise.
"I just came to offer you some stew." Eowyn explained.
"We just ate." You lied. After Eowyn left you and Legolas were left in a awkward silence.
"I'm going to... um... get my bow..." you said breaking the silence. You walked out of the tent you cheeks still a deep red.
