Chapter One

-(y/n)'s P.O.V-

... Yawn...

... Good morning world...

... Wait a second...

... Why hasn't my alarm gone off?!

Scared, I checked my phone, to see that it was 8:30am.

Ah! I'm going to be so late for... Oh wait... It's the first day of summer! No more school!

I did a mini dance in my bed, before climbing out of my comfy blanket burrito, and heading to the kitchen.

There, I found Gladion, all dressed and ready for the day, eating some eggs.

"Nice PJ's." Gladion teasingly said.

But I'm in a too good of a mood to get upset.

"Well, it is the first day of summer. I thought I should celebrate. Why're you all dressed, and ready for the day?" I asked

"I applied for some summer jobs, and was accepted. The first one starts in an hour." Gladion explained.

I frowned.

"Aw... I was hoping to celebrate the first day of summer with you..." I complained.

"Don't worry; we will celebrate. Just... not until later in the day." Gladion reassured me.

I sighed.

"I'm sorry, but I must go. My boss wants me to come early so I can learn my duties before my shift starts. Love you." Gladion said, before racing out the door.

... Why does it seem like this is our new normal? Always on jobs... Never home... If home, he's in his room thinking... What happened to the Gladion I fell in love with?

... Sigh...

Might as well get ready for the day, because I have nothing better to do.

"I'm going out for a walk." I said, before exiting the house.

Even though I was outside, I could still hear my mom shout, "Alright! Love you, my sweet (y/n)!"

... Got to love moms, right...?

As I was walking around the island, I thought back to all that's happened in the past nine months. The most important of all being the start of my relationship with Gladion... Despite his recent changes...

... Oh, and Team Skull disbanded... That's a plus...

That devil of a father left, saying how he'll return when the 'time's right'... Whatever that means.

Soon, I found myself on the beach.

Wow, my feet hurt so much.

... Just how long have I been walking?

Well, might as well take a nap. The clouds are blocking the sun, so it's the perfect time to take a nap. While I laid down, I thought about Gladion.

... Just what's going on with us, Gladion...?

-Gladion's P.O.V-

"Have a nice day." I said to the customer, as they walked away with their newest shirt.

Since I'm very talented with clothes (because I've made my own in the past), the manager was more than happy to let me work here. Not only do we sell clothes, but we make them, specially tailored for our customers.

Although the work's hard, with long hours, it pays really well.

.. I'll be able to save you soon... Lillie...

"Alright. Gladion, you're off. You know, I really like you kid... You're a hard worker. Take tomorrow off." My boss said.

"I appreciate the offer, but I must decline." I said, while collecting my things.

"Why not?" My boss asked.

"Because... I need the money..." I explained.

"If you say so. But, just let me know if you change your mind." My boss said.

I nodded, before exiting the store, and heading home.

When I entered the home, I found (y/n) watching some TV.

"You're finally back! Would you like to join me? I've missed you so much." (y/n) said.

"Sorry, but I must pass. Maybe later? I'm pretty tired." I said.

"Oh... Of course, I understand." (y/n) said with a frown.

I then headed to my room, and collapsed on the bed.

... Maybe I have been overworking myself...

But it'll all be worth it.

Let's see how much the tickets cost, to see if the prices have changed.

... This is... Amazing...

Due to summer discounts... I can afford a ticket to Kanto!

Before, I would have had to pay two times as much as this is showing!

It's decided then... I'll leave on the next boat ride to Kanto...

Let's see... The next boat ride leaves in two days.

I hope that won't be too long of a wait, Lillie...

I then purchased my ticket.

It's official; I leave for Kanto in two days...

I then closed my eyes, and fell asleep.

After a long day of non-stop working, who wouldn't?

Welcome back, my Gladion lovers! We're finally back with book two! So yeah... My updating schedule will probably be once a week (maybe twice), just so we're clear. Now that that's out of the way...
