Chapter 12

Marinette sat in the bakery eating her breakfast. She watched as a small bird hopped around out front.Suddenly the little bird was spooked and flew off. Adrien appeared and opened the door.

Wait.

ADRIEN?!

Marinette gasped and sat up.

"Oh! Hey there, Marinette." He smiled.

"Marinette! Is there a customer?" Her mother called.

"Yeah, but I got it, Mom!" Marinette yelled back.

She straightened and smiled widely.

"I'll take a chocolate croissant and sandwich. Thanks." 

Marinette nodded and handed them to him.

Adrien then fiddled to get his wallet.

"Oh! N-No need, Adrien. It's on us today!" She smiled.

"Oh! Thanks, Marinette! Well I'd better go. I'll see you late-"

Adrien was cut of by loud barks and roars coming from outside.

Marinette ran out to see all the commotion to see loads of animals in the streets.

"Fear me citizens, for I am Animala! Your worst nightmare! HAHA!" They heard a loud scream.

"I'd better split-I mean go! Stay safe, Marinette! Ladybug and Cat Noir will stop them!" Adrien called before running off.

Marinette smirked.

"They sure will. Timki, SPOTS ON!"

Ladybug then swung on her yo-yo in the direction of the screams.

She reached the park where, obviously, an akumatized victim used a sceptor to turn people into animals. She wore a pin with a wolf on it.

"Storm!" Ladybug murmured the girl's name. Storm was a girl in her class.

"Hey Bugaboo.' Ladybug heard a silky voice from behind her.

"Look what the Cat dragged in! The akuma's in the pin. Come on!" Ladybug said with a smirk to Cat Noir.

Animala then turned to see Ladybug and Cat Noir.

"You!" She snarled.

"Animala! You don't have to act this way! Why are you upset?" Ladybug called.

Storm walked into class and sat down.

She wore a pin with a wolf on it that her grandfather gave to her before he passed away.

She held it and smiled a bit, feeling comforted.

"What is that?" A snotty voice sounded from in front of her.

Storm looked up to see Chloe staring at her pin. The rest of the class had turned to see.

"A pin my grandfather gave to me." Storm said defiantly.

"Let ME see!" Chloe snatched the pin.

"Hey! Give that back to me! It's special!!" Storm gasped, trying to grab it.

Chloe staggered and dropped the pin. 

It fell and shattered.

Storm gasped.

"Oops! Well it was worthless anyway!" Chloe laughed it off and walked to her seat.

"Chloe! What is your problem you brat! You are so horrible!" Marinette said.

"Ugh! How dare you, Marinette. I..." Chloe broke off to see Storm stand up.

"You ruined the last piece of remembrance I had left of my grandfather. You B-TCH!" Storm screamed and ran at Chloe, tackling her.

She pulled at Chloe's hair vigorously and slapped her face.

"What is all that noi-STORM! GET OFF OF CHLOE NOW!" The teacher yelled and grabbed Storm's arm.

"SHE RUINED IT! SHE RUINED IT!" Storm screamed.

"GO TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE, YOUNG LADY!" The teacher snarled.

Storm gasped and clenched her fists.

"Don't think this is over Chloe..."

Animala shook off the memory.

But Ladybug knew exactly what was going on...

And so did Cat Noir.

"Go to Chloe Borgoise's house!" They both said in unison.

"How did you know that?!" Ladybug asked.

"I'll tell you later... Just, we cannot let her get to Chloe!" Cat Nour said urgently.

"Chloe... Chloe Borgois... Yes. I shall get my revenge on HER first!" Animala cackled and vanished.

Ladybug gasped.

"OH NO! Come on Cat!"
