Chapter 25

Ladybug sat in the TV station with Cat Noir, waiting for Mrs. Shamock and the directors. They sat alone, both a bit shaken.

"What do we say if they ask about us dating?" Ladybug asked.

"Maybe we should just tell them." Cat Noir sighed.

"Why?"

"Well for a start it could give us some major publicity! Hah! No, but really, I think people would find it soothing to know that their superheroes share such a close bond." Cat Noir said.

"That's true... You know what, sure. We will. Do we tell them we know each others identities?" Ladybug asked nervously.

"Only if they ask." Cat Noir said, taking her hand.

"It's going to be okay." He reassured her with a quick peck on the nose.

Ladybug smiled.

"Ladybug and Cat Noir! Thank you for coming!"

Ladybug and Cat Noir pulled their hands apart.

"Yes, thank you for having us Mrs. Shamock." Ladybug smiled.

"The interview will begin in 3 minutes. I'll be right back." She said before running off to talk to the crew.

Cat Noir felt Ladybug tense up.

He reassuringly placed his hand on her knee.

Ladybug shot him a quick look to stop when mrs. Shamock turned back.

"So, I hope this won't be like the last interview when you ran out..." Mrs. Shamock said, sotting down.

"Depends." Cat Noir challenged.

Mrs. Shamock's eyes flashed with worry. She shook it off and turned on her microphone.

"We're live in 30 seconds." The director called.

Ladybug straightened herself and Cat Noir scooched close to Ladybug.

Mrs. Shamock smiled a bit and cleared her throat.

"Live in 5, 4, 3, 2-!"

"Hello Paris and welcome to an exclusive interview with the famous Ladybug and Cat Noir!" Mrs. Shamock said, gesturing to the heroes.

"So, Ladybug and Cat Noir... Is there anything you'd like to tell us? Or.. Admit for that matter?" Mrs. Shamock quickly jumped into the questions.

"Admit to what?" Lasybug asked.

"I don't know... Juicy secrets? Connections? Love...?" She pressed.

Cat Noir narrowed his eyes.

Mrs. Shamock then played the video of them kissing on the Eiffel Tower.

Ladybug and Cat Noir watched in shock

"So, do you admit to this?" Mrs. Shamock leaned in.

Cat Noir took a deep breath, Ladybug tapped her foot.

Cat Noir took Ladybug's hand.

You could hear gasps echo throughout the station.

"Yes. Cat Noir and I aren't liars." Ladybug said quietly.

"Are you dating?" Mrs. Shamock gasped.

"Yes." Cat Noir said.

"Civilian forms as well?!"

The superheroes thought for a moment.

"Y-Yes..." Ladybug whispered.

"What was that?!" Mrs. Shamock leaned in more with a huge grin on her face.

"YES!" Ladybug blurted.

You could suddenly hear screams from outside of excited fans.

"You heard that, Paris, Ladybug and Cat Noir are confirmed a couple, civilian forms as well!" Mrs. Shamock repeated excitedly.

"But, this doesn't change anything!" Ladybug said quickly.

"What do you mean?" 

"We are still as professional as we were. We will do nothing but improve." She said.

"Exactly, this just means I get to be with my Bugaboo more often!" Cat Noir winked.

The crowd outside screamed and Ladybug turned red.

"Well, this concludes our interview. Thank you so much for coming out, today. Do either of you have anything else to say?" Mrs. Shamock declared.

"Always stay positive, and if you believe in something, make it reality!" Ladybug exclaimed.

"Never give up on yourself! Keep going even when life gets tough!" Cat Noir siad, taking Ladybug's hand.

And the show ended.

"Great job! Thank you so much!" Mrs. Shamock praised excitedly.

"O-Of course." Ladybug stammered, still a bit nervous.

"This cats gotta split, I wanna say hi to some fans outside before I detransform." Cat Noir said.

"Same. Goodbye Mrs. Shamock!" Ladybug said before following after Cat noir.

When they left suddenly crowds of fans sprinted towards them.

They held up signs and posters.

The duo waved nervously as they were bombarded with questions.

"Cat Noir, marry me!!"

"Ladybug, what's your real name?!"

"Ladybug, what is your skin care routine?!"

"Cat Noir, how do you make your hair so fluffy?!"

Ladybug blinked at Cat Noir.

"I didn't realize this was going to be so hectic!" She said.

"Want to go?" He asked.

Ladybug nodded.

Cat Noir held Ladybug's waist.

"Cat what are you doing? I can move myself!" Ladybug chuckled.

"It'll be quicker if I do it!" Cat Noir siad, extending his pole, Ladybug wriggled away and swing past him on her yo-yo.

"Who's slow now?" Ladybug laughed.

"I'll get you!" He called.

When they arrived at Adrien's house, Marinette grabbed Adrien's hand before they left.

He turned to her, confused.

"Please, can we tell your father?" Marinette asked.

"I-I don't know..." Adrien murmured.

"Please! We can't hide this much longer." Marinette pointed out.

"Fine. Just, let me do the talking." Adrien said.

Mainette nodded obediently and they went inside.
