"Tikki, spots off!" Alya said after the butterfly flew off.
Alya took off the earrings quickly and transformed back into Rena Rouge before Nathaniel could notice.
"What happened?" Nathaniel asked.
"You were akumatized again. Nathaniel, what is going on?" Rena Rouge asked.
"I wasn't upset at all when it happened. I was actually happy! I was hanging out with Ivan when suddenly Hawkmoth just akumatized me for no reason! I don't know how! I'm over Marinette anyways." He shrugged.
"Then who sent thise letters to Cat Noir and Marinette?" Rena asked softly.
"What letters?" Nathaniel asked.
"Hmm... Nevermind. I'll get you home." She said.

"C-Cat...?" Marinette whispered.
"Marinette... It's going to be okay... Hang on!" Cat Noir cried.
He quickly called an ambulance.
"Hello? This is Adrien Agreste, my girlfriend, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, was seriously injured during an akuma attack. She needs an ambulance. We're at the Eiffel Tower, I will bring her down. Yes, Sir... No, Sir... Thank you." He said before hanging up and gently picking her up, feeling blood on his hands.
He detransformed and went down.
He was greeted by an ambulance and the News.
"Adrien Agreste, what just happened?"
"Adrien, over here!"
"Where are Ladybug and Cat Noir?!"
Voices demanded.
Adrien layed her down on the stretcher. He then whipped around.
"You reporters ought to butt-out of our lives and Ladybug and Cat Noir's, now! How would you like people constantly stopping you at the grocery store, or recieving death threats foe doing something silly! This world would be destroyed if Ladybug, Cat Noir and Rena Rouge weren't here!" He snarled.
The reporters stared after him, taken aback as he climbed into the ambulance with Marinette.
"Marinette, it's going to be okay. We're going to the hospital." Adrien murmured.
"A-Adrien... Did... I hurt... Y-ou?" Marinette barely whispered.
"No. I'm too tough." He assured with a wink.
Marinette giggled softly.
"I'm so sorry I was so blind to the fact that you were being attacked." Adrien whispered, holding her tightly.
"No, y-you.... were busy.... With... The aku... akum-ma..." She stuttered.
Adrien kissed her forehead.

Adrien sat in the waiting room with a bouquet of red roses, impatiently tapping his foot. It had been three days now and Marinette was now allowed to leave.
Suddenly the door opened and she emerged in crutches. A weak smile spread across her face. Adrien ran towards her and hugged her tightly.
"She'll need to be back in a few weeks for a checkup." The doctor ordered.
"Yes, Doctor. Thank you." Adrien said before helping Marinette out.
They got into Adrien's car.
"Want to get some celebratory ice cream at André's?" Adrien asked.
Marinette sat quietly, not saying a word.
He then took the hint and continued driving.

When they arrived, Adrien helped Marinette into her house.
"Oh, Marinette!" Mrs. Dupain-Cheng gasped, running over.
Marinette stood blankly.
"Mari, Honey, are you alright?" Mr. Dupain-Cheng asked.
Marinette turned and went upstairs.
Mrs. Dupain-Cheng went to go after her but Adrien stopped her.
"Let me explain." He said, sitting them down.
(blahblahblah storytime blahblah)
Mr. and Mrs. Dupain-Cheng stared at Adrien at shock. He then buried his head in his hands.
"I'm so sorry! I'm a horrible boyfriend..." He cried.
Suddenly they pulled him in for a massive hug.
"You saved her life, Adrien." Mrs. Dupain-Cheng murmured.
"No, I was just being blind. She wouldn't have been hurt if I paid attention to her over the dumb akuma." Adrien sighed.
"No. You may be a superhero, but you can't do everything. You did your best and we are more than thankful." Mr. Dupain-Cheng said.
Adrien smiled weakly.
"Go talk to her." Mrs. Dupain-Cheng said.
"Me? W-Why?" He asked.
"At this point you know her better than we do. She grows up too fast." Mr. Dupain-Cheng sighed.
Adrien nodded and went upstairs.
He saw her standing on her balcony, looking up at the night sky.
"M'Lady?" He murmured.
He came up beside her.
There was a long moment of silence before Marinette fell apart and began to sob into her hands.
"I don't deserve you! I hurt you! I've ruined your perfect life! I don't deserve to be Ladybug!!!" She blurted in between sobs.
"Don't say that!" Adrien ordered strongly.
Marinette flinched.
"Marinette, you brought happiness to my life. You have saved me over and over again from akuma attacks to even... extreme depression. Before I met you, life was bland... But now... My world is brighter... I love you, Marinette. Please, don't beat yourself like this. You are amazing... Just the way you are." He said.
Marinette then leapt in his arms, sobbing profusely.
Adrien smiled and held her tightly.

"NOO!" Hawkmoth screamed.
He clenched his fists and looked up angrily.
"That's it." He paused and looked up.
"If none of my akumas can stop them, I'm going to have to eliminate Ladybug and Cat Noir myself!!"
