Chapter 24

The next morning, Marinette was eating her croissant before school.

Her parents had gone to China to visit family, Marinette opted not to go since school was beginning.

Then the door opened.

Marinette looked up to see Adrien.

"Morning, M'Lady." He kissed her nose.

"Morning, Kitty. What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Grabbing breakfast. I'm walking with you today." He said.

Marinette knew what he wanted and handed him a sandwich croissant and a pepsi.

"But you have your fancy limo!" Marinette pointed out.

"My father sold it and wants another one." Adrien chuckled.

"Ah. So, want to get going?" Marinette asked.

"Sure thing."

When they arrived people were all watching a video on their phones.

"What's going on?" Adrien asked Nino and Alya as they passed the two.

They looked at Adrien and Marinette nervously.

"What?" Marinette asked nervously.

Alya handed them her phone.

Marinette and Adrien watched the video.

Mrs. Shamock had posted the video of Ladybug and Cat Noir on the Eiffel Tower last night.

"I would normally fangirl... But..." Alya murmured.

"This is bad..." Adrien muttered.

"R-Really bad..." Marinette said.

Before they could say anything else, they were pulled from their thoughts when a loud and obnoxious voice called.

"OH ADRIKINS! I missed you!" Chloé ran over and jumped on Adrien.

Adrien growled and shoved her off.

"Sorry Chloé, I'm taken." He said.

"W-What?! By whom!" Chloé hissed.

Adrien took Marinette's hand.

Chloé then narrowed her eyes to slits.

"UGH!" She screamed and flipped around, intentionally hitting Marinette with her ponytail.

"Told you." Adrien chuckled.

Marinette stood blankly.

"Marinette?" He asked.

She looked up at Adrien.

"I'm scared." She whispered.

"Of what?! I'll beat them down whoever it is!" Adrien growled.

"The media! They'll think we will be less professional now." Marinette said.

"They don't know we're dating. And why would anyone think we would be less professional? If anything I feel even more obligated to make sure no akuma harms you. Again." He said, holding her tightly.

Marinette sighed.

"Alright, well I can bet some good money that we'll be called for an interview soon..."

-After school-

"I can't believe it! Little Marinette finally got the guy! You know, Adrien, she's been crushing on you forever! She even tried to change her schedule so she could pass you in the halls more often!" Rose giggled.

"ROSE!" Marinette gasped.

Adrien chuckled.

"I'm glad my Bug-I mean Marinette likes me so much." Adrien saved with a wink.

Marinette's face turned pink.

"We always knew you would end up together." Mylene said.

"They were destined." Juleka added, elbowing Marinette.

"Okay, okay, enough of this!" Marinette whispered nervously.

Suddenly Adrien's phone vibrated.

His eyes widened.

"Marinette could we talk in private, please?" He asked.

"Sure." Marinette said.

They all of the girls ooed.

Marinette shot them a look before running off after Adrien.

Adrien showed Marinette his phone.

It read:

We expect Ladybug and Cat Noir to show up TONIGHT for an important interview! -Shamock Central

"Called it." Marinette sighed.

"Want to walk home together? My dad is out of town so I don't have a too severe curfew." Adrien said.

"Sure, we can go to my house."

When they arrived, Marinette sat down on her bed.

"You know, I've never met your kwami." She said.

"That's right! I haven't met yours... Tikki?"

"Yep. Tikki, wake up!" Marinette opened her drawer where Tikki slept.

Tikki then flew up.

"Hi Mari-Adrien!" Tikki squeaked and flew over to him.

"Hi. Wow, you're much more friendly than Plagg."

"I heard that!" A muffled voice sounded from inside Adrien's bag.

Adrien unzipped it and Plagg flew out.

"What's that smell?!" Marinette plugged her nose.

"Camembert." Adrien rolled his eyes.

"Camembert is a delicious cheese. I refuse to consume anything else." He said.

"Well hello there, Plagg. I'm Marinette, or Ladybug." Marinette let Plagg jump onto her hand.

"Oh I know about you. Adrien has a plush of Ladybug tha-"

"ALRIGHT PLAGG, THAT'S ENOUGH!" Adrien interrupted.

Marinette giggled. She stood up and walked over to her drawer, she pulled out a Cat Noir plush.

Adrien's eyes sparkled.

"You are soo perfect for me!" Adrien cooed.
