"A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Agreste." Mr. Dupan-cheng said, shaking his hand.
"You as well Mr. Dupan-cheng. It is a pleasure to have you for dinner." Mr. Agreste stated.
"You have such a wonderful home, and such a dashing son for our Marinette!" Mrs. Dupan-cheng praised.
Adrien scratched the back of his head and smiled.
"Thank you. Now, shall we?" Mr. Agreste gestured to the dining room.
The parents walked off and Marinette took a sigh of relief.
"You don't have to be so nervous, yeah he's intimidating but nothing you could say would make him dislike you. He honestly thinks you're pretty cool and very beautiful, Bugaboo. He said it himself." Adrien winked.
"Shh!" Marinette giggled.
Adrien and Marinette walked to the dining room and sat down.
Marinette and her family politely placed their napkins on their laps.
"We rehearsed." She murmured to Adrien.
Adrien smiled, glad that Marinette was being so kind.
Mr. Agreste nodded approvingly.
Marinette and Adrien fist bumped under the table.
-
"Wow, this was delicious. Thank you, again, Mr. Agreste!" Marinette exclaimed.
"Thank you Marinette. But you can just call me Gabriel." He said.
Marinette smiled brightly.
The dinner had gone smoothly, the adults joked and bonded. Adrien and Marinette had held hands the entire dinner.
"Well, this has been fantastic, but it is a school night for Marinette and Adrien, so we best be heading home. Thank you again, this was very nice." Mr. Dupan-Cheng said, shaking Gabriel's hand.
"It was a pleasure getting to know you both." Mr. Agreste exclaimed.
"Next time, we can host!" Mrs. Dupan-Cheng said happily.
"Yes, I've heard many good things of your bakery. I cannot wait. Goodbye." Mr. Agreste said as they walked out the door.
Marinette gave Adrien a hug and whispered in his ear:
"Meeting place in an hour."
Adrien nodded and Marinette waved goodbye.
Adrien smiled as she left.
"How do you like Marinette?" Adrien asked.
"A very kind Bug." Mr. Agreste said.
Adrien tensed a bit.
"Adrien, is there anything you have been keeping from me? I am your father, you can tell me." He said.
"Aside from hating piano... No." Adrien said.
"Yesterday I went in your bedroom and you weren't there... Your phone was playing music." Mr. Agreste pressed.
"Oh! Uh-That. Yes, I was practicing an escape route in case something ever happened and we needed to escape!" Adrien said.
"How would you climb down?"
"The drainpipe." Adrien smiled.
"Alright..." Mr. Agreste narrowed his eyes.
Adrien then yawned.
"Well I should head to bed, goodnight, Father." Adrien smiled.
"You know Adrien, you remind me a bit of Cat Noir." Mr. Agreste said.
"H-Huh?"
"You're much like him." Mr. Agreste pointed out with a sheug.
"Me? Cat Noir? Funny. He's a major flort, cat puns? Really? I'd rather stick to being suave in my own way. Night, Father." Adrien chuckled before walking upstairs to his bedroom.
Mr. Agreste narrowed his eyes.
He grumbled and went to his bedroom.
-
A: I can't come tonight, sorry Bugaboo :(
M: Why? Is something wrong?
A: My father was acting a bit off after dinner. I'll tell you tomorrow at school.
M: Okay, night Kitty <3
A: Night
Adrien put down his phone and sighed.
"You know, Adrien, you don't have to be so nervous of your father finding out. He won't." Plagg said.
"I know, Plagg... Maybe I should just tell him..."
"NO!" Plagg yelped.
Adrien looked at him, confusedly.
"T-Too many people already know. Now go to sleep." Plagg said before flying into Adrien's drawer.
"Okay? Night, Plagg." Adrien said, flipping off his lamp.
