Chapter Eight: Hevors Bar

After that building collapsed a thick cloud of smoke filled the streets. I didn't need to see because I knew this place like the back of my hand. I walked for about an hour until I came upon a bar. "Hevors Bar, Open 24/7" a sign read above the door.
I walked inside and noticed that how things have changed. The last time I was here I was nineteen years old. I saw some familiar faces but a lot of new ones. I looked at the hologram showing the news from today and I watched in terror as it went on. They were recording the entire thing from when the first star destroyer landed.
"These outrageous rebellious acts are not tolerated and if you know of the whereabouts of one of these rebels please report them to the authorities immediately." Said a disturbing robotic voice.
I watched it all. I saw when the rebels first started charging. I saw Levat and I run out of screen. I watched as people came and helped the rebels. Some people even came in from behind the stormtroopers and flanked them.
Then I came out of the top of the destroyer.
They had a close up of me but it was super pixelated.
"We know that this is a grown man who's a Jedi and very dangerous to society. If any of you know where this man is you will be rewarded with five hundred thousand credits." When the robot voice said this I heard a bit of excitement in the voices of the people around me.
I continued watching I was able to see Adazach for a split second before he went out of frame. I watched as I jumped off the destroyer and as I did so the camera zoomed out and I was able to see everything. Adazach, me jumping, then the explosion.
I watched the flash of light from the initial explosion then almost in an instant the bridge was gone then the rest of the ship it knocked down the building behind it and then the other ships blew up I watched as my body got flung out of view in less than half a second.
The camera zoomed out more and I watched as all the buildings within at least a mile radius of the explosion fell down.
"An estimation of how many fatalities there is around three hundred and fifty thousand. And this is the very least." The robot said.
I watched as the camera zoomed in on people trying to run but not making it.
I turned around to find everyone looking at me. I covered my face and went to the back. When I was back there I could sense Hevor near.
I opened the door to his office and he noticed me. "Close the door behind you." He said
"Where is Veronica?" I asked him sternly
"You don't know what happened do you?" He asked
"WHERE IS SHE!?!" I demanded
"Felix. Veronica died five years ago" He told me sadly.
Tears started streaming from my face.
"What?" I asked in a depressing tone.
"She handed me a note an hour before she died. She said 'Give this to Felix if he ever comes back.'"
"NOOOOOOO!" I screamed
I could feel the hatred growing inside of me. Hevor then got up then handed me an envelope. I was now on the ground crying.
"You want a drink?" He asked me
I nodded my head in reply to him. He left the room and came back a minute later with a gallon of shlovegyud and four glasses.
"What are the other two glasses for" I asked him.
"I've got two friends coming." He replied
A minute later we're playing poker with two regulars apparently.
"You know I don't drink anymore." I told Hevor as he poured me a glass of shlovegyud.
He gave me a glare telling me to have one drink. I took the glass and chugged it.
"Hit me with another one." I told him
He knew if he got me to have one drink I would want more. He shoved the gallon jug across the table to me. I drank the gallon within a half an hour. The last thing I see is Hevor laughing.
