Chapter Twenty-Four: Tests

I heard her footsteps following me. I could also hear the rain that had turned to hail hit he ground with a tiny pop.
We made it to the cliff side and I opened up the hidden door.
The door opened slowly, I could hear Avier gasp from behind me.
"Let's go." I said as I walked inside
She followed and the door closed behind her.
"Where did you get this crystal from?" I questioned as I held out the crystal
"From a dark cave.Why?"
"Did you fell the presence of it? Could you feel as if it was pulling you towards it?" I questioned urgently
She nodded her head furiously.
I took the crystal in my hand and threw it as far as possible. Avier started running after it but stopped when the color changed from bright blue to a blood red.
The cave walls came alive with I brilliant blue color.
"What is happening?" She questioned
The red crystal started losing its color and so did the wall.
The red color looked like it had evaporated while there is a very dim blue surrounding us.
Avier looked at me then at the colorless crystal on the ground.
She ran over to it and picked it up.
As she brought it to her face it shattered into hundreds of little pieces.
"You went to the darkness when you found that crystal." I said
"What does that mean?"
"That you were able to find the crystal that powers the sabers of darkness. But you did not give into the darkness. You did not turn dark."
She looked at me as if I was crazy but stopped when everything started shaking.
"What is happening?" She yelled as a low rumble got louder
"You will find your crystal but you will go through a number of tests!"
The ground gave way and I was floating in midair while Avier fell down.
She screamed in horror as she fell into the what seemed like an enteral abyss.
The floor reappeared and I felt dizzy.
"You will follow her." The voice said as my vision went fuzzy
I woke up on the floor of a dark cave.
"Hello?" I call out but in return I find silence.
I get up on my feet and look around.
Different tunnels peeling off every which way.
A dim light glows from one and I head in that direction.
As the light gets closer I hear footsteps running fast.
"Help!" Avier screams as she turns a corner
"Avier I'm right here!" I say as she runs to me
I try to catch her with the force but she runs right through me.
I turn around and run after her.
She stops at a turn and hides behind a corner.
"Felix Sin" a sinister voice says from behind
I turn around and see Abaloth standing before me.
"Master!" Avier yells
"Run!" I tell her as I face her
I turn around and pull out my lightsaber.
"That's useless here." Abaloth said as I stab her in her gut
I pull the lightsaber out of her and she grabs me by the neck.
"Avier go!" I say weakly as I'm lifted into the air
"No!"
She darts at Abaloth and punches her in the side of the face.
"Oh little girl, you're next." Abaloth said as she started strengthening her grip
I let out a weak grunt and see Avier watch in horror as the life gets drained out of me.
Her grip tightens more and I feel defeat.
Extreme pain run through my body as knifes stab me everywhere.
I feel a force hit me and I see my body go limp.
I'm flying above Avier and the whole situation.
"Master!" She screams as tears roll down her face
Abaloth tightens her grip even more and squeezes my face until it is a pile of brain, skin, and blood in her hand.
Avier gets up and darts the opposite way.
"Come back in not finished having fun." Abaloth said as she transformed into a dark cloud and flew after Avier.
As she runs the cloud disappears and Avier hits a dead end.
She collapsed to the ground and jammed her face into her hands.
I flew down to her side and she was crying so hard she could flood the planet.
"WHY?" She screamed
I sat down at her side and looked around. The wall was covered with the crystals as clear as day.
I heard Avier scream and I turned my head to look at her but found nothing.
I realized the ground has disappeared once more when the screaming faded.
I let myself fall until I saw her.
When I did she was running down a tunnel with a light blue color.
"You better run little girl." I heard Abaloth say sinisterly from behind
Avier cussed underneath her breath as she ran in a full sprint. The crystal got closer but so did Abaloth.
"Your master is dead, why try? He was the only one who could stop me." Abaloth said as she reached one of her hands out to grab Avier
"Jump!" I scream and Avier jumps out of the way
Avier turns around and Abaloth swings her fist at her. Avier jumps and dodges it.
Abaloth looks surprised but turns part of her into a knife like thing.
She stabs Avier in the gut and is holding her in the air.
"You are dead just like your master."
Avier screams and tunnel illuminates with blue crystals.
"NO!" Abaloth screams as she absorbs the light
Avier falls to the ground and coughs up blood.
I sense defeat flowing off of her as she curls up it a ball.
But as she weakens hope replaces the defeat.
She gets up weakly and starts moving to the crystal slowly.
With every step she loses more blood.
After becoming pale she makes it to the crystal with much struggle.
It is placed in an alter like structure.
"Finally." She whispers as she grabs it
My vision goes fuzzy and black once again until I am surrounded by darkness.
