Chapter Ten: Old Scars Don't Go Away

I wake up to hearing blaster fire on the streets below me. My pillow is sopping wet with tears. I look at the picture of her and I and tears start draining from my eyes.
Eventually I get out of bed and look in our closet. I find an old pod racer shirt of mine and a pair of pants. I get changed knowing by now the First Order has depixelated. Me and my clothes so it's worth a shot changing.
I realized I haven't eaten since that day when my life was turned around. I walked down the hallway until I make it to our kitchen. I went to the cabinet and grabbed the food. She put it in an always heated container so it was hot when I grabbed it.
I went and sat down at our dining room table. There's three seats now instead of just the two. I looked around and realized there's a picture of who I assume is E. I go to the wall and grab it.
"I will find him." I say hoping Veronica can hear me.
I looked at the picture while eating the lachenchalet. E has the same eyes as Veronica. They're one in a billion and I'd know them if I'd see them. He also has the same smile; bright and cheerful. By the look of this photo he was about five when this was took. By now he's probably ten or eleven.
I'm about to finish my lachlenchelat when I hear a window break coming from the living room. I got up immediately and grabbed my fork I was using. It was only a rock but it had a note attached to it. I picked it up and took the note off.
I heard you were back in town. You better watch your back.

I looked at the not not believing who threw this. I looked out the broken window and heard his sickening laugh as he turned around the corner.
"If he knows I'm here then his gang must know to." I said as I walked to the bedroom.
I walked into the bedroom and started trying on all the clothes and put all of the ones that fit me in a case. When I was finished I went to my pillow and grabbed the credits from inside of it.
I walked to our small bathroom and turned on the shower.
I heard more glass break and I turned of the shower. I ran to the kitchen to see what it was. I looked underneath the table and saw a detonator. I took the picture of E off the wall and ran to the living room.
I made it out of the kitchen just in time because the second I jumped behind the couch the detonator went off. I looked to see how bad the damage was. I could see the person living above me and below me looking through the hole the explosion made.
"You ok Felix?" I heard one of them ask
"Yeah just Sondo again." I replied.
I got up and ran to the bedroom and shoved my lightsaber and credits inside the case.
I figured Sondo would be waiting for me in the back ally way and that he would have eyes on the front of the building. So I ran to the roof.
When I was up there I looked down to the ally and sure enough Sondo was standing right there waiting for me with two other gang members.
I jumped down behind them without them realizing my presence.
"Hello Sondo" I said in a smug voice
He turned around with his blaster pointing at me.
"Came back for some revenge I see." He said
"I'm not like that and you know it." I told him as I put my hands up
"Then why did you come back?" He questioned
"So I can kill you and have the enjoyment of watching the life drain from your body like I did to your father Hondo many years ago." I told him in a threatening tone.
I jumped and went to reach for my lightsaber but I realized it was inside the case I was holding.
"SHOOT THAT PEICE OF" I heard Sondo scream as I landed on the building above them.
I opened the case and took out my lightsaber. I hid it inside my shirt and jumped to another building.
I started running as I heard blaster fire whizzing by my head. I took some cover behind some taller buildings.
I walked out from behind the building a few minutes later to see no one on the street.
I jumped down and ran to Hevors bar.
When I got there I went in the back because I figured Sondo and his gang would already be there. When I was inside I could hear Sondo and Hevor arguing.
"Do what you want with the place. Just leave me alone." I heard Hevor say.
I saw a shadow coming closer from the hallway to Hevors office so I took cover behind his desk. The footsteps got closer every second until they stopped and I heard the door to the office close.
I sensed it was Hevor so I stood up. He was facing the door when I stood up but when he turned around he jumped because I must've scared him or something.
"It's not safe for you here. Sondo has his gang here waiting for you to walk through those front doors." He whispered to me.
"But Sondo doesn't know about our gang does he?" I asked Hevor softly
He shook his head no and said "Let's go get the boys ready for action." He said excited
I watched him as he grabbed his jacket and headed to the back door.
"They've been waiting for a day like this." Hevor told me
"A day when we end these tyrants once and for all in a good old gang fight?" I questioned
He laughed and nodded his head excitedly.
