Tris leaned on the back of her door, taking in the evenings events. She smiled at the memories she and Four had made, but she was kind of worried because she'd never fallen for anyone for anyone that fast before. She heard Four's heavy breathing on the other side of the door, like a gust of wind.
The dorm was pitch black, Christina must've been asleep. Tris walked over to her bed and began taking off her dress to change into her pyjamas. As she was halfway through getting changed, a lamp flicked on and Christina spoke.
"How was i-" Christina began, as Tris shot under her bed covers like lightning.
"A bit of warning would have been okay, Chris!" Tris said.
Tris heard footsteps outside her door and looked at it, that might be Four but why would he still be there waiting? She pushed the thought to the back of her mind and turned back to Christina.
"So ... How was it? Tell me everything!" Christina ordered, her smile wider than Tris had ever seen. Her eyebrows were stuck together, a thick crease between them. An odd contrast, Tris had to admit.
"I'm sorry Chris, I don't kiss and tell," Tris stuck out her tongue playfully.
"Ah, so you kissed then?" Christina noted, taking out a pen and pad.
"No, but we lay under the stars surrounded by flowers." Tris smiled. "You aren't actually writing that down are you?"
"Boring! I got excited over nothing!" Christina said, but avoided Tris' question.
Tris and Christina talked until the early hours of the morning as Tris explained the rest of the date. Christina carried on writing, what she was writing - Tris had no clue.
-----------------------------------------------------
Getting out of her class early, Tris went for a walk around the schools gardens. Her class today was a two hour history lecture on why Henry the 8th had six wives. Why it took two hours for the teacher to explain that he wanted a son and didn't get one from his previous wives completely baffled Tris.
Trios walked along a dirt track path and into a small forest. The tree tops coated the forest, sort of creating a second sky. Every so often, there was a break in the leaves where sunlight would shine through, illuminating the darkness.
Tris stumbled over a fallen branch which was twisted like a witches finger. She fell and face planted the ground, her mouth full of grit and dirt. Someone ran over,
"Whoa Tris are you okay?" A familiar voice said, helping her stand.
As Tris stood up she knew who it was.
"Hey Uriah, I'm fine, thanks." She said.
"You busy tonight? A bunch of us are going out to the diner, wanna come?" Uriah asked grinning.
"Urm sure, what time?"
"Around six, well that's what time I'm going anyway," Uriah said.
"Great, see you then," Tris said turning away. Uriah grabbed her arm and twisted her around to face him again.
"Wait, I heard you had a date with Four,"
"Yeah, I did." Tris said, looking down at the ground.
"Did you have fun?" Uriah mumbled.
"Yeah, I did." Tris repeated. Where was he going with this?
Uriah fiddled with the zip on the red hoodie he was wearing, he looked at the floor, Tris knew what this was, nervousness.
