UPDATE: She Likes You

After that heated moment of conversation with Julie, I felt exhausted and so I sat down the bench just right down in front of Julie and just relaxed my entire body onto that bench, I feel like I wasted energy enough for a whole week, I was embarrassed and also very nervous after I made that daring proclamation that I love Ley, I shot my eyes and covered my face with my handkerchief.

I thought Julie left me alone after I told her everything but there she was, slowly getting closer towards me, I feel her presence coming closer until she arrived beside me, she sat on the bench and then started poking my cheek and my belly

"What are you doing?" I asked her with an exhausted voice, not bothering to look because of exhaustion like feeling

"Then why won't you tell her you love her then?" Julie asked as she poked my cheek and raffled my hair

"I'm afraid to get rejected" I replied

"Even knowing that other guys would steal her from you?"

Now that question really hit home for me, that was really intense, now that I thought about it... who am I to even keep Julie for myself, the next thing I knew Julie asked another question

"Do you get jealous of other guys that talks to Julie?"

Without even knowing I just started answering on my own like it was natural

"Yeah, I mean who wouldn't be jealous, even though it was an unrequited love to begin with, I still get jealous when someone talks to her"

My eyes grew heavier, I knew I was about to feel drowsy then I'd become sleepy, then lastly Julie launches yet another question

"Why don't you confess to her?"

I sighed, a long sigh and answered

"I'm afraid that I'd get rejected"

After some time, it was only silence, there was no follow up questions, and I started to feel sleepy then suddenly Julie asks again

"But do you love her?"

I just smirked out of reflex that knowing that I do love her and replied

"Yes I really do"

I heard a soft "oooooh" coming from the background, my sleepiness suddenly disappeared because I know something was up, and then I realized there was a soft giggling and laughter occurring at the background, that giggle and laughter wasn't only coming from Julie but I think I heard Paul's laughter as well, in that moment all I could ever think of in my head was "Damn... I got baited didn't I?"

Julie removed the handkerchief of my face, she was smiling at me and giggling and said

"Well, here's my part of the bargain, do your part correctly, I gave you a hand"

As I was staring at Julie I could sense and also see that there were two people standing at the side, I could see them at my peripheral view, I know damn well who could those two persons be, I sat straight up and faced them and asked

"Did you... by any chance heard what I said?"

Paul and Ley nodded, I really felt awkward because I was lured into this trap, a trap for me to make me say my true feelings for Ley, I don't know what to do at that time, my mind was blank due to embarrassment, Paul and Julie were teasing me and Ley, but mostly me for saying that I love her

I was completely shocked and very embarrassed at myself, I stood up and tried to go back to the room but then Ley called out

Ley: Lee!

I stopped and looked at her, she was kind of confused and lost she almost looked like she doesn't know what she's doing, and then let's me go saying "Uh nothing sorry for bothering you"

I hurriedly went back to the room in order to be alone, so I sat on my chair and proceeded with a face down position

Ahhh! That was embarrassing! To think that I'd blurted out my true feelings for Ley! What's worse is that she heard!

Ugh this is going to be awkward for me and her, that's what I thought in my head. I couldn't think straight nor could I even dare to do something else besides just sit there and think about that moment again, that moment when I said that I love her

Gosh it was embarrassing, I want to die like really due to embarrassment

As I was on a head down position, I heard someone sitting next beside me, I guessed it was Nix and so it was, she tapped my back and asked if everything was alright, of course my response was I faced her and told her everything that had happened

After sometime of brief discussion Nix started laughing

Nix: Hahahaha what the hell!
Me: Gee thanks for comforting me
Nix: What a cliché way to tell how you feel!
Me: tell me about it, very cliché indeed
Nix: I mean hahaha, you got baited! Hard!
Me: yeah yeah

After laughing at me Nix then tapped my shoulder and said "It's fine don't worry" but I was left like "How could it be fine?"

Nix: a girl knows how other girl feels about a certain guy
Me: oh yeah? I think I heard something like that before, but I know that is no true
Nix: Trust me when I say this, girl knows how other girls feel
Me: okay I trust you
Nix: (pouts) hmmm you don't believe don't you?
Me: (giggles) I believe you, I believe you
Nix: wait here

Nix stood up and started walking towards the back, I followed her with my eyes, and I saw that she was about to approach Ley and I was flustered again, I averted my look and just looked straight ahead, I tried taking a peek of what Nix and Ley were doing, and so I took a quick look, I saw Nix sitting beside Ley and I just saw them talking just like the usual Girl talk and such, but then I saw Nix looked at me and grinned, there fear and nervousness struck me, I was frozen unable to avert my gaze, she then started talking to Ley and broke her gaze, yet I was still frozen. After some time the conversation progressed, Nix nodded her head towards me, making Ley look at me, and of course because I noticed that Ley looked at me, it was a reflex that I look at her, but this time both of us averted our gaze, I looked straight to the board, and I just relied on my hearing on what was happening back there. I heard that Nix told her goodbyes to Ley and slowly went back to sit beside me, step, step, step, with each sound of her shoes tapping the ground my chest tightened, nervous and pressured about what Nix has in store for me, she sat to me and she was smiling at me, I couldn't look at her because I had a bad feeling about what was going to happen and so I asked without looking at her "So how did it go?"

Nix giggled and replied "She likes you"
