Ah, the first day of college.

For most people, it'd be exciting. For Evan, however, it was absolutely terrifying.

He stood in front of his dorm room and took a deep breath. Shaking, his hand reached for the doorknob, but retreated when the door began to open from the other side.

"No," the guy said. "No way. This is- No- Are you Evan?"

"Y-Yes?" Evan replied, confused.

The guy walked back into the room, groaning, and Evan followed, bringing in his bags as well.

"There has to be some mistake. Evan is such a cool name - you're a nerd!"

A scoff escaped Evan's lips as he looked at the male.

"I am not a nerd. Lots of people wear glasses. You shouldn't judge so quickly."

He pushed the pastel pink frames up so his glasses sat nicely on the bridge of his nose. Then the roommate closed the door and stared at Evan.

"Could you not stare at me like that?"

"Who uses a suitcase with wheels?" he asked, laughing.

"What's wrong with it?" Evan's cheeks began to get red with irritation.

"Nothing," he chuckled. "I'm Jonathan, by the way, but you can call me Daddy." A wink followed his statement immediately.

"Excuse me?"

"I'm just kidding. You can call me Jon if you want."

"I don't really call people by nicknames," Evan murmured, pushing his glasses up again.

"Alright," Jonathan shrugged, walking over to the Asian. "Call me whatever, man, it's just a name. Doesn't matter to me."

"How did someone like you get into a school like this? You don't seem the slightest bit intelligent."

Jonathan's head turned towards Evan and a smirk was evident.

"Are you judging me so quickly? You know, someone once told me not to do that and I think you should take their advice, as well."

Evan rolled his eyes and began to take his belongings out of his suitcase. Jonathan began to look through the items, until their hands swiftly brushed against each other. They both looked up, but then Evan looked away quickly.

"What's the matter, nerd?" Jonathan asked, moving closer to the other. "Am I that intimidating?"

"N-No?" Evan stuttered, accidentally turning his statement into a question.

"It's so nice to know that I have such power over you already. I might just have to remember that for later. Now c'mon, nerd, let's get you unpacked."

Evan gulped and nodded.

His first year at college with Jonathan as his roommate was going to be... interesting.
