Chapter 2 ~The Party~

Today I was excited to go to school. I don't know why but I woke up with a good feeling, like something good is going to happen.
So I got up and woke my sister up to get ready for school. I looked out the window and saw my dads truck still here so he's home... I really want him to feel better. I miss him, he's just not the same anymore. I don't blame him for being upset still, I'm still upset but I have to be strong for Sarah.

We go downstairs and my dad's sleeping on the couch in the living room. Sarah and I quietly make cereal before we go to school so we don't wake him.
After we eat we go off to school. Once I get to school I go find my friends like usual. When I find them they were hanging with Colby and Sam. Maybe I should say Sam and Colby. Yep sounds better that way so Sam and Colby it is.

"Hey guys." I said walking towards them and Colby smiles. "Hey." He says and I can't help but smile.
"So what were you guys talking about?" I asked.
"Well, we were thinking about throwing a party tonight at your house? For Sam and Colby. Like a welcoming party." Gracie said basically begging.
"Are you crazy?!" I said. "My dad would kill me!"
"Yeah but he's gonna be gone this weekend with my dad remember? They aren't coming back until Sunday and it's Friday. You'll be fine." Gracie said smiling.
I looked at Colby. "Fine, but not a lot of people." I said.
"THANK YOU!" Gracie said jumping up and down. "I'll invite everyone and you guys worry about the food."
The bell rings and Colby and I walk to class together since we have the same class.

"So how was your first week at this dumb school?" I asked laughing.
"Pretty good. It's like a lot of schools, they have the groups."

We get to class and there was a sub today. "Hello, I'm the sub today and she left a note saying to give you guys a worksheet and you'll know what to do and that you can work with partners as long as it's not too loud." she said and started handing out the papers. I looked at Colby and he nodded his head.

Durring class we mainly talked. We only got a couple things done. It's not hard so we could both finish it on our own time anyway.
"Hey since the party is at your place, can I have your number so I can like get a hold of you?" Colby asked.
"Oh yeah definitely." I said and gave him my number.
The bell rang and we went to our next classes.

It was lunch already I was happy because that means school is almost over. At lunch my friends sit at a circle table. I sit next to Gracie and now Colby. Colby and I have been getting really close and it makes me happy.
The whole lunch period we were planning our party. It's gonna be at my place at 9:00 since my dad isn't leaving until 7:30 and we have to get ready. Gracie invited 20 people because I said not a lot. My house is really big so it could fit more I just don't like people very much.

It's now 8:00 and I'm home alone right now because my dad is gone with his friend and my sister is staying at a friends house. I don't like being alone at my house because it's so big but my friends should be here soon.

Sam and Colby got here at 8:10 with food and then a little later the rest of my friends got here. We set up food and stuff and started music.
The doorbell rang and when I opened it I was in shock. There were way more than 20 people. Half of our school was standing in my front lawn.
They started walking in my house when all of a sudden a guy goes, "where do you want the book?" Great this will be interesting. "In the kitchen." I said. He nodded his head and left. I went over to Gracie.
"Yo what the fuck Gracie? This sure looks like a small group." I said.
"Yeah about that... One of the people I invited may have posted it on Twitter..."
"Oh my gosh."
"Here take a drink." She said and handed me a cup of beer. Whatever. Fuck it. I started chugging the rest of the beer until the cup was empty.

I went and found Colby. He was hanging out with a couple of girls and Sam. The girls were hitting on him and it was funny because they have boyfriends. "Pst... I wouldn't talk to them... They both have boyfriends and you don't want to mess with those guys." I said. The girls rolled their eyes and walked away.

"Oh didn't know you drank. Don't seem like the type." He said laughing.
"Either do you but your drinking too." We both started laughing and I don't know why because it's not that funny. We talked and danced for what seemed like forever and I checked the time and it was already 1:00 in the morning and I was getting tired but only couple people have left.
"So since your so amazing at tours, why don't you give me a tour of this big house of yours." He said smiling.
"Okay, okay follow me." I said walking.

I showed him everywhere downstairs even though he's basically seen all of it. We got one more to drink and went upstairs.
"Okay and last but not least, my room." I said and opened the door.
"Wow. Big room and is that a bathroom?" He asked.
"Yeah and it's bigger than I need but I like it." I said sat on my bed. He sat down next to me.
We talked a little more until I noticed it was 1:30. It was still just as loud so I bet everyone is still here. I've had a little too much to drink and I think he has too. We are both telling each other secrets and I'd never tell anyone this stuff but I'm telling him for some reason.

We started talking about person stuff. I brought up Jakob... Jakob is a guy who broke my heart. I was in love with him and he just used me. That's why I have troubles trusting people. I've never told anyone that and I literally just told a guy that I've known for a week.
"I'm so sorry. That guy is a douche, but hey your one heart break away from finding the real one." He said.
"Yeah I guess. What about you?"
"To be honest no. I haven't really felt that yet and I don't feel like I ever will." He said looking at me. I didn't realize how close we are until now. I'll tell you now that we are really close.

Our faces get closer together and then all of a sudden we kiss. I felt a million sparks. Our lips seperate we smile.
"Um sorry." He said.
"No don't be. I liked it." I said blushing. "Hey I'm really tired, kind of wanna go to bed."
"Same." He said standing up.
"You can crash here? It is 2 in the morning."
"Yeah that'd be nice. Thanks." He said.

I put some shorts and a big shirt on and got in bed. He then took off his shirt and sweatshirt. "Sorry I have troubles sleeping with a shirt on." He said. I laughed. He got under the blanket with me and I smiled.

I guess that good feeling this morning did mean something good was going to happen.
