Chapter 10 ~The Talk~

I walk into Colby's room and he is laying on his bed under the covers without a shirt while being on his phone.
I sat down next to him. "Hi." I said.
"Hey."
I don't know why but this seems awkward.
"So um they wanted us to talk about us." I said.
"Yeah I figured that's why." He said laughing.
"Yeah so what are we?" I said playing with my bracelets.
"What do you want us to be?" He asked grabbing my hands.
"I don't know. I know that I really like you. Like a lot." I said blushing.
"I really like you too." He said smiling. 
"So?" I asked.
"Brook would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asked sitting up and I realized that he has a nice body.
"Yes Colby. I'd love that." I said smiling and he kissed me.
"Do you have to go back home?" He asked.
"Hold on let me ask them."

I call Hannah and tell her the news and she literally screams. I asked her if I need to go back home and she told me that I have to stay with Colby tonight and hung up. Ok...

I walk back into Colby's room and lay down next to him in his bed. He kissed me. "I'm so happy that we figured this out."
"Me too." I said smiling. I kissed him.
That night we watched movies until 2am when we fell asleep.
This is literally perfect.

I woke up to the sound of someone yelling. Colby didn't wake up. I checked the time and it was 7 so it's been four hours so I decided to go back to bed.
I woke up again to Colby moving.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to wake you up."
"No it's fine. What time is it?"
"12."
"Okay." All of a sudden my stomach growls. My cheeks turn bright red.
"Lets go eat." He said laughing. 
He took me to McDonald's because that's one of the closes places and we love it so.
He buys our food and we go and sit down.

With just my luck, Jakob and some girl walks in. Colby gets a look on his face but I hold his hand and shake my head. "Colby don't. That's what he wants. Is to fight so don't let him win." He nodded and focused on me now.
"Why is he such an asshole anyway?" Colby asked.
"Made varsity in every sport as a freshman went to prom as a freshman. Dated a senior has a freshman so he just thinks he's better than everyone else."
"Oh. Well he isn't."
"I know." I said then him and that girl sat at the table next to us.
"Seriously out of all of the tables open you chose the one right next us." I said.
"I always sit here. So if you don't like it then leave." He said and the girl started laughing.
"Who is this? Another one of the girls that your gonna knock up then leave?" I said and he went silent.
"Exactly." I said and me and Colby turned back to us and we finished our meal.
I can't believe that I'm saying this stuff to him. What's gotten into me?

Colby drove us back to his place and we hung out there.
"My dad keeps asking where I'm at." I said.
"Do you need to go home?"
"No."
"Are you gonna tell him the truth?" Colby asked.
I nodded and called my dad.

"Hey dad." I said. I could tell Colby was listening.
"Where have you been? You aren't at Hannah's or Gracie's, because I asked since you weren't answering." He said.
"I'm at Colby's." I said and looked at Colby.
It was silent. "Why are you there? Have you been there this whole time?"
"Yes dad. I stayed here last night and I've been hanging out with them."
"So you do have a boyfriend?"
"Yeah." I said and it was silent again. "Dad, he isn't anything like Jakob. I promise."
"Brooklyn."
"I know that your worried but don't be. He is super nice and funny. Those are two things that Jakob doesn't have. Just trust me on this one."
"Does Sarah know?"
"No."
He sighed. "When will you be home?"
"I don't know why?"
"Just wondering. Well bye love you."
"Love you too."

I looked at Colby and smiled. Now my dad knows that I have a boyfriend so now I don't have to keep secrets.
