It's been a week since I stayed the weekend with Ponyboy. He's still been with me everyday but hasn't spent the night.
Alex hasn't been at school at all this week. I wonder what happened to him...
Ponyboy had been very, very, protective over me for the past week. I don't think he trust any of the Socs, at all.
I mean, I appreciate his concern about me but it's a bit suffocating. Always having someone breath down your neck or always watching your every move.
I really like Ponyboy but this is starting to scare me a bit. I really suck in situations like this. I need some space.
It was now Friday morning and I was walking to first period. Ponyboy said he would be late today because he was helping Soda with something.
I was looking at my feet as I walked and turned a corner and noticed someone walk right in front of me. I looked up to find Alex hovering over me, smirking.
I literally jumped back in surprise and fear. He had a devilish grin on his face and I was really starting to get scarred.
"Haven't seen you in a while, did ya miss me?" he asked almost to friendly.
I didn't respond I just slowly started to back away like I always do until he forcibly grabbed my arm and pulled me to him.
Holy shit I was scarred.
I don't understand how we are in a crowded hall way and were going unnoticed. does no one of the courtesy to help a defenseless girl when she's being man handled by some asshole?
"Get the fuck of her, now." I heard a familiar voice demand.
Ponyboy grabbed my waist and pulled me behind him. I wrapped my small hand around his bicep in attempts to keep him in place.
"What are you gonna do about?"
"Haven't we already had this conversation?" Pony asked sarcastically.
Alex just chuckled, he eyed Pony and I out and slowly walked away.
"Thank you.." I said quietly and hugged Ponyboy, burying my face in his chest.
He threw his arm around my shoulder and we walked to first period.
We were walking to my house after school, Pony with his arm around my shoulder and him carrying my books.
We were walking in a peaceful silence, but that never bothered me. I like the fact that our silence is never awkward.
I pulled out my keys to unlock my front door and I pulled Ponyboy inside.
We went up to my room and I sat on my bed and started to pull out my homework while he strolled around looking at the few things on the walls and book shelf.
"My friend, katelynn, she invited me to hang out this weekend, just us two..." I said slowly. I was scared he was going to be mad.
And by the look on his face, he was.
"You're not goin'" he said nonchalantly.
"What?"
"You're not goin' and that's it."
"Ponyboy, you can't keep me from going to see my friend. Your not the boss of me." I shot back.
"Elizabeth, you're not going, it's not safe and I may not be the boss of you, but I am the one that always saves your ass!" his voice raised.
"Saves my ass? it's not my fault some asshole likes to harass me. You act like it's a chore for you.." I was now yelling too.
"Well, since it kinda happens a lot, it kinda is!" he yelled loudly.
