(Jungkook POV)
"Jungkook-Ah, did you find them?" Hoseok walks up to me and crosses his arms.
"Yea." I nod at him and walk over to my seat next to Taehyung and Jin.
I pull out the seat and ask if Taehyung's seen them come in yet.
"Nope." He casually says while sitting down.
What the hell taking them so long?
I tap my foot in impatience and finally see them enter the room, laughing.
Jin lets her take his seat next to me and he takes the empty seat next to her. They continue to laugh and occasionally touch each other.
I obnoxiously cough. Y/n turns to look at me.
"Prince Jungkook- I'm sorry, thank you for notifying us--"
"Can you stop being all touchy-feely over there? it's getting annoying." I snap.
She winces as if the words I said whipped her.
I dismiss the look on her face and continue to eat.
Y/n and Jin stay quiet.
Time feels like it went slower and slower just to remind of y/n's hurt expression.
Ugh. Stop thinking about it. You were just speaking your mind.
"Y/n--" I look around me, but she's already gone. "Jin-Hyung, where did y/n go?" I'm already halfway out of my seat when Yuna grabs my wrist from across the table.
"Jungkook-Ah--" I rip my wrist away from her grip and swiftly leave.
I look around the halls and rooms, but I still can't manage to spot her anywhere.
"Y/n?" Y/n?" I call with my hands cupped around my mouth to enhance the sound.
"No-- I'm ok, I'll do it the right way." I hear a soft voice from the room next to me. I quietly listen in.
"Alright. That was your choice y/n. Proceed." A deep male voice comes from the room as well.
Why is she with another m--
Just as I was going to burst through the doors, Y/n comes out at the same time, leaving us in front of each other. She begins to back up and looks at me with confused eyes.
"Why are you here?" She asks.
"I came to get you- I thought you ran away--"
"No, I was just talking." Y/n shrugs and tries to leave the room. I block the doorway. I quickly scan the room to see if anyone's in it and look back at y/n.
"To who?" I raise an eyebrow.
"I don't know why you're so concerned. Just a moment ago you snapped at me for nothing. I suggest you stick to one persona." She ignores my question and pushes through my arms.
(Your POV)
I push through his arms angrily, making my way back to the dining room.
Aish...
"--Yes, there will be a ball a few days from now." A deep voice comes from the dining room.
Ball?
I rush inside to grasp the last moments of what I missed.
"Y/n-Ah, I was wondering where you went." I look towards the voice that called me and realize that it was the king who had been talking.
"Sorry." I quickly sit down to where I was and look at the empty seat next to me.
Maybe I was too harsh? It's not even my fault--
"Y/n did you hear? They'll be a ball held a couple days from now." I look up a Taehyung.
"Ah, yea, I rushed in on the last few moments of what your father was saying." I smile and take a sip of my water.
"Are you prepared?" Namjoon walks up to us and asks.
"For what?"
"The ball. There's going to be several royals there expecting a lot from you, and just all the excess things like dancing and how to talk to them." He shrugs.
"Ahh... I'm not very educated in that particular course, sorry." I nervously laugh, trying not put the 'ignorant' impression on them.
"That's ok, we can help you with that aspect." Namjoon scratches his neck.
"That would be of much help, thank you." I bow and Hoseok perches his arm on my shoulder.
"Definitely, y/n, we can help." Hoseok smiles.
A hush falls over the room as footsteps clop against the quartz floors. Jungkook makes his way in the room without paying any mind to his brothers or me. He runs his hand roughly through his chocolate hair and suddenly looks in my direction.
Quickly looking away, Jungkook rolls his neck in a circle motion and flops down on a chair.
"Aigoo, Jungkook-ah, behave yourself in front of Y/N and Yuna, will you?" Jin walks up promptly and tries to keep a low voice.
"Jin-Hyung lay off." Jungkook snaps.
"Aish, this kid." Jin steps away angrily.
Jungkook again rolls his neck and finally locks eyes with me. He gives me an obnoxious smile and waves sarcastically.
I huff and look away in annoyance.
Hoseok and Namjoon engage in their own conversation and leave me to deal with Jungkook.
"Why do you keep looking away, Y/N?" Jungkook slyly struts his way over to me. His whole demeanor has altered itself entirely, it sends off vibes that I don't want to be feeling.
"Prince Jungkook--"
"Listen, if you wanna get along around here, let's just agree to leave each other alone, ok? It's not like we'll get along together anyways." He scoffs and crosses his arms, still eyes locked on me.
"We can't--"
"Of course we can. And I wasn't asking you, I was telling you. I suggest you comply." Jungkook leans in close to my face and whispers,
"Or else something unfortunate may happen."
I'm SORRY JUNGKOOK I STILL LOVE YOU~~~
