(Your POV)

You couldn't go back home without Minhyuk, and you couldn't go back to the castle. You were hopeless. As you travel through a nearby town, a poster reads a wedding that will take place tomorrow and at Yuna's kingdom.

The mailman and her, huh?

A smile makes its way onto your face as you grab the paper and roll it up for safe keeping. The night was long, but you eventually arrived at her palace. Embellished with decor, you carefully knock on the large French doors.

"Hello... Its Y/N." You timidly call as the peephole opens.

"From King Hyungsik's?"

"...Yes."

The doors gracefully swing open and reveal the elegantly decorated hall of gold. Yuna had it all. A lover, her kingdom, and content. You didn't want to admit it, but it made you a bit jealous.

"Right this way." The guard leads you over to the lobby and as you sit down on a velvet chair.

You see Yuna running to you from the golden hall. "Y/N?!" She jumps and sits next to you. "Why are you here?"

"Uh... Long story. But if it's ok with you, can you lend me a room for the night?" You ask stiffly.

"Of course! Its the least I can do after all you've been through." Yuna gets up and accompanies you to a room next to another room at the end of the hall. Ominous energy was emitted from it.

Yuna's face turns suddenly. "Listen. This was the only room we had left, and I need you to know that you have to keep this door locked when you're sleeping or inside your room."

"...It almost sounds like there's a criminal here." You joke, but Yuna's face doesn't change. "Wait, seriously?"

"I know you probably don't want to see him, but my father insisted on him attending my wedding. I couldn't refuse." Yuna squeezes the tips of her fingers, waiting for your reply.

"He's really here, isn't he?" You utter in disbelief.

"I'm sorry." She looks around nervously. "Stay in your room, that's your best bet to avoid--"

"The King."

Your world seemed to crumble around you. Yuna was gone, so was he. It was just you and the King.

"Nonetheless, thank you for the room." You abruptly end your crisis and enter the room alone. Looking behind you, you close the door and are to lock it.

~~~
It was tomorrow's evening now. You did nothing but cower in your room the whole day and watch from your window. Yuna looked beautiful. Your gaze leads you to the front row.
You first spot the princes and their utter grace, but you then see the monster. The King. He sat somewhat behind the princes with a grim look plastered onto his ghastly face.
You stare for too long it that it seems like he seemed to sense you. He turned around and met your eyes.
You gasp and tremble as a putrid grin starts to creep up onto his face.
He suddenly gets up from his chair and slithers out of your eyesight. You stumble backward and leap towards the door to ensure that it's locked. Once you see that it is, you sigh in relief.
Someone starts to pound on the door. "Let me in, Y/N!" He roars from the other side of the door. "I just want to have a civil conversation!" It almost sounds like his fists are going to break through the door.
You couldn't even yell back to him. You were frozen. You couldn't run away, and you couldn't defend yourself, you couldn't do anything.
"Answer me!" He bursts out in anger. "I know you're in there!"
"L-Leave me alone!" You finally manage to say.
His hammering increases in strength and urgency. "Let me in little piggy!" Over the loud sound of his pounding, you squint at the door.
"It's... bending?" You fall on your bum when you realize, "Y-You're breaking the goddamn door! S-Stop! Fucking stop!" You Shriek.
You rip off the railing holding the window's curtains and keep it in defense. Your hands were quivering in absolute fear. You hear him laughing from the other side of the door.
"You're disgusting!" You scream as tears begin to pool in your eyes.
The door finally gives in and shatters, revealing the crazed monster. "I see you!"
He plunges his giant arm through the door, which finds its way to the lock and handles. "Oh come on, sweetie. I know the real reason why you couldn't make your decision. You were playing hard to get! Teasing me." His evil eyes meet yours once he unlocks the door.
He steps through the broken doorway and smiles. The wicked smile displayed on his wrinkled face made you cringe as he mocked you. You stagger backward, reaching for the knob to the window.
"Don't leave now, honey!" He pouted but then suddenly darkened. "Don't you dare taunt me again."
"I-I'm not taunting you, you revolting beast!" You scream at him.
His eye twitched, which made you internally happy but you couldn't celebrate that now. He then started to make his way towards you, making you back into the window.
"We're three stories up, baby. Just accept me." He says in a husky voice which made you want to vomit.
"Get away from me." You warn as you place your hand on the knob.
He squints his eyes at you. "Get away from there." The King abruptly grabs onto your ankle and yanks you towards him. "Stop that!" He explodes.
All you could think of was him. You clasp onto the window and swing it wide open.
All you could do was call his name.
Hey guys! I saw from the previous chapter that some of you were confused if there is going to be a single ending of my choice or seven for the readers to choose from. I was trying to allude to the "him" sections in that chapter that it was sort of a blank for you to fill in of your preferred choice, but I should've made it clearer, sorry hehe. Anyway, yes, there will be seven endings! Thanks so much for 59k reads! <3
