(Your POV)
I run into my room after breakfast and plop onto my bed face down. I clutch the bedsheets into my fist and burning tears flood out of my eyes and into my pillow.
I stay in the same position for basically the whole day. People keep knocking on my door, but I keep ignoring.
You're being rude y/n. Answer the door, you should be thankful that someone chose you.
But you don't get to go home.
But Y/n--
A loud knock stops my voice from clashing inside my head.
I reluctantly rise from my bed with red puffy eyes.
"Who is it." I groan.
"Jin..."
I rub my eyes and break the door open just a tiny bit. "Prince Jin? Why are you here?"
"I've been trying to get you out of your room, but you never answered the door until now. Are you ok? Are you hungry?" He keeps his eyes on me.
"No, I'm ok. Thanks." I try shutting the door, but he stops it with his foot.
"Please, come out now. We're all waiting for you." Jin asks.
"I don't want to."
Jin grunts and another voice can be heard from behind him.
"You're acting like a spoiled teenager."
"Jungkook-Ah, watch your tongue."
"How many people are there with you?" I ask while peering through the crack of the door.
"Just me now," Jin says quietly.
"Why are you here anyway?" I groan in frustration.
"I came to get you. I can't understand why you're so upset--"
I swing the door open in a fit of anger.
"I--" I look at Jin and his bewildered face and immediate guilt swarms over me. "I'm sorry." I bow to him with blush crowding my cheeks.
"N-No, it's ok, no need to apologize. If you want to talk about it... You can always talk to me." He avoids my eyes as a sea of pink washes over his cheeks.
"Where do you want to talk?" I rub my arm awkwardly and look down.
"O-Oh-- we can talk in the garden, the rooftops, or anywhere you want to." I scan his face, realizing he didn't expect me to agree.
"Can we go on my balcony?" I ask quietly.
"O-Of course...!" I lead him to my room and shut the door behind him.
He walks over to the door and opens it for me.
"So, what's the matter?" He sits on the floor of the balcony and pats where he wants me to sit.
"It's... It's about home and all that." I take a seat next to him and sigh.
"Home? You miss it?" He asks, careful not to touch me.
"Yes. A lot actually. Before my time here, I didn't really think much of my home or town. I thought I'd be there forever until I died. This place is still new to me, especially when I'm competing for someone's hand in marriage. Which I still don't remember signing up for." I sigh and put my chin on my knees.
"I see. So the guards took you here against your will?" Jin rubs his hands together and blows hot air into them.
"Yea."
"I know it might seem bad at first, but once you get used to it, you'll find it rather relaxing. Just like--" He cuts his words off there and avoids my gaze.
"There's nothing relaxing about this place. I have constant eyes on me, I'm worried I might get lost in this place, and I have Yuna on my tail." I look up at Jin and quickly look away. "I'm sorry, that was insensitive of me."
"Haha... It's fine y/n, you can be calm around me." He gives a light laugh and continues. "You don't even have to refer to me as 'Prince'." He looks down at me and smiles.
I look down at my knees and blush. A smile finds it's way onto my face.
A cold breeze runs through my hair, giving me a shiver.
"Do you like the idea of the whole marriage thing your father came up with?" I suddenly ask.
"It gives me and my brothers less of a feeling of arranged marriage. But we still can't fall in love with who we want to. It's been that way for years. There's no helping it." He sighs and shifts his weight onto his hand.
"I don't know how you can be ok with all this stuff. Love isn't something someone can just, choose for you."
He lets out a cold breath and looks at me with a smile.
"You'll get through this y/n. it's going to be ok." He rests his hand on my shoulder.
Tears start to form in my eyes.
I quickly indulge myself in his arms and hug him tightly.
"Thank you," I whisper into his chest.
We sit there for a moment, Jin frozen, waiting for my movement. I could hear his heart racing. His breath patterns quickened, and he didn't say anything.
I quickly retract from the hug and look at him in the moonlight.
A soft, but intense blush is spread across his face.
He's avoiding eye contact with me. Maybe that was a little too straightforward.
"Sorr--"
Jungkook bursts through the doors, stopping me midsentence.
"Hello--" Jungkook traces his eyes to Jin and me, giving us a glare.
"What are you two doing, alone." Jungkook crosses his arms and comes close to us.
Jin stands up and gently grabs my hand to help me up as well.
"W-We were talking." Jin covers his blush with his arm.
"Talking?" Jungkook mirrors and eyes me.
I nod at him and grip onto Jin's hand.
"Whatever, alright. Everyone's looking for you guys. Let's get to dinner." Jungkook sticks his hand in his pocket and swiftly leaves the room.
I look down at our hands and quickly release my hand from his.
"S-Sorry. I must've gotten you in trouble--" I try apologizing, but Jin hushes me with a warm smile.
"It's ok y/n, I can handle a little lecture." He ushers me towards the door and we leave for dinner.
