(Yoongi POV)
"You'll be out soon, but are you sure you want to pursue this?" A nurse comes to review Yoongi, checking his vitals and blood pressure.
"Of course. It's the only way. I took to school for it, so It'd be nice to put that to use." Yoongi gets up and checks himself in the mirror.
I'm so pale and frail.
He scowls at himself. "Please alert me when my father has come back." The nurse nods and takes her leave.
Yoongi still hasn't recovered since the attack. He's constantly been pestering his father like a child to see and talk to Y/N, but he's out of the picture.
Flashback-
"Father, Please, just once. It's only out of common courtesy, nothing more!" Yoongi shouts as he grips his side in pain. "She is not the one at fault!"
Yoongi stumbles over to his father, weak and in agony. He clutches onto his father's shirt and collapses to his knees, making his father lose balance. The king shoves Yoongi off of him onto the floor with Yoongi screeching in pain.
"Shut your mouth! No one visits her, especially you!"
"Father! I can't keep standing behind my brother's shadows! Just let me do something!" Yoongi screams on the floor.
The king uses his foot and drills Yoongi in the gut, not even offering a glance at him.
"I've warned you before, even if you do something, it'll never get noticed."
Flashback end-
Yoongi shifts uncomfortably, rubbing the makeup off his grave bruises tainting his pale skin.
This won't go unnoticed.
~~~~~~~
Yoongi fastens his tie and straightens out his blazer. He runs a delicate hand through his hair.
"Your father has arrived, my prince." A nurse courtesies.
Yoongi nods and reaches for his crutches, placing it beneath his shoulder. He slowly makes his way to the dining room. His first steps in a week were difficult ones. His feet were aching in agony as his head was throbbing with nausea.
"F-Father," Yoongi announces his presence, causing his brothers to whip their heads around and stare at Yoongi. "Brothers."
Jimin ran over to Yoongi and delicately places his hand on his shoulder. "Hyung! Are you doing better? Why are you dressed--"
"Hyung! Hoseok calls as he walks over. "Feeling better?"
"Are you?" Yoongi replies, eyeing his bandages arms and cheek.
"It's been a while, Yoongi-Hyung, I'm glad you're back." Namjoon smiles.
Taehyung and Jungkook enter and pat his back gently. "Hyung!"
Yoongi looks through the crowd. "Jimin, where is Jin-Hyung?"
Jimin shifts uneasily. "He... Hasn't made his way back yet." Yoongi curses.
"I heard about Y/N. Is she doing ok?" He asks while walking over to a seat. The boy's exchange looks.
"She's alright," Jungkook mutters.
Yoongi scans the room, looking for his father when he finally spots him hovering over Yuna.
"Oppa!" Yuna calls, catching the king's attention.
"Hey, Yuna." Yoongi waves weakly, but dodges her hugs to meet with his father. "Father. I'm going to take up Y/N's case. There's nothing you can do to stop me." Yoongi walks closer to his father, almost even challenging him. "It's against the sixth amendment, you have to give her a fair trial."
His father sucks in a sharp breath, restraining himself in front of Yuna and everyone. "Do as you please. But I'm sure you remember what I said before." He dismisses Yoongi and exits the room in a hurry.
"Hyung, are you really-" Jimin begins
"Yes. I'm going to get Y/N out of there."
~~~~~~
(Yoongi POV)
I can't believe I just did that.
I take a deep breath in attempts to calm myself down. Glancing down, I see my hands are practically shaking like an earthquake. It was bold of me sure, but I wasn't thinking of any future consequences. What would Father do to me now?
"Yoongi, this... case. When is it taking place?" Jungkook walks into my room and leans on a wall.
"About that..." I want to give an answer, but I didn't think of this part either. Usually, lawyers have 2-4 weeks... but I sprang this up so suddenly, and knowing father, he won't play fair.
Jungkook sighs. "I know I'm not one to say, but Hyung, I don't think you thought this through."
"I... I know. I just wanted to do something to help Y/N..."
"Yoongi, what if she's not worth it in the end?" Jungkook walks closer to me, making the conversation tenser.
I was taken aback by what Jungkook said. He never once said anything bad to us about Y/N. Apart from that aspect, I was mad. "Jungkook... How could you say that? Wouldn't you want to help anyone out even if you didn't know them that well?"
"Of course. Remember the last time you took up a case though? It didn't turn out that good for the person you were defending." His voice begins to get louder, and it is smothered with an aggressive tone.
"Jungkook I know, but--"
"May I remind you that this person was someone you loved?" Jungkook's voice rises.
"Jungkook stop." My voice cracks.
He steps closer to me. "Let me remind you, you killed this person. I'm not going to take my chances with Y/N."
