POV: Sydney
"He said he'd go, but he's worried about being a third wheel..." Cameron said as he sat down in front of the phone with a bowl of cereal.
"I'll bring my friend so they can talk, that way it's not sooo awkward." I said shrugging as I too am in front my bowl of cereal.
"Well that should be good for him." He said as he shoveled some cereal in.
"Mhm sooo when do you fly here?" I asked trying not to sound super clingy.
"Today at like 11:30 is when the flight is supposed to take off." He said checking his non-existing watch.
"It's like 10:00 now soooo you might want to start getting ready?" I asked holding back a laugh.
"Eh already packed yesterday cause I was so excited!" He said beaming at me through the phone. "But I probably do have to get on the road.... So I'll call you when I land?" He asked nervously.
I nodded furiously, "Yes definitely." I giggled as he hung up.
What the actual fuck.
I was going to see him in real life!
That sounds weird... Like I've been holding a strictly online relationship with someone I met on a random ass dating website.... Creepy.
My heart fluttered at the thought of actually SEEING him. Like I had never really seen him before. As if I had never really met him.
But it wasn't like that, I KNOW him. Better than I could've ever known him if I met him in real life. It WONT be awkward. I like him and I'm pretty sure he tolerates me so it shall not be awkward.
Right?
POV: Samantha
"Ughhh do I have to?" I groaned into the phone.
"Yes, yes you do." Sydney stated blandly.
"He's probably a stuck up jerk who will think I'm just a freakishly tall, ugly, fat ass, with ginger hair." I stated truthfully and sadly.
"Ginger stop being depressing this instant or I will walk over to your house and slap you. Also, your NONE of those things and you KNOW it. You ARE tall and have red hair, but that's not a bad thing!" She yelled through the phone.
I cringed away from the phone frowning deeply. I knew she was lying, that she only was being nice. It was her job as a friend to sugar code it. I also knew that she wouldn't shut up till I accepted it.
"Whatever, I really don't want another dude staring at me as if I have a second head." I stated annoyed.
"So you'll go?!" She screamed.
"I didn't say that weirdo..." I said squinting my eyes. I think I would've rather have been the third wheel.
"But you didn't say no!!" She screamed again.
"If you do not stop screaming I will strangle you and I WILL say no!" I said pointedly.
"Whatever, so are you in?" She asked brushing off the threat.
I sighed and took the phone away from my ear to look forlornly at my half empty room. "I guess..." I muttered almost silently.
"Yes! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She said and I could almost see her jumping up and down.
"Yeah, whatever but you owe me big time weirdo." I said depressingly.
"Why would I need to? For me forcing you to interact with a cute and famous dude?" She asked calmly. "Nah bitch, you owe ME." She said laughing.
I rolled my eyes, "Whateverrr." I said preparing to hang up. "I do not owe you." I said before pressing the end call button.
What am I going to do?
I have to go make conversation with a dude I've never met who is not only cute and tall, but is famous on Vine and a TON if girls want him. So there's all of THAT to compete with...
Well that's just amazing isn't it? Note the sarcasm.
