POV: Nash
Everything seemed to go in slow motion.
Glass floated around the air as if I was underwater.
I felt pain, but it was dulled and almost numb.
I heard screams too and when I looked at the car that I had run into I could see two children sitting in the back seat, clutching each other.
The impact had me pressed forward onto my seat belt almost choking me, but it prevented me from flying out the windshield.
Finally, we stopped moving.
It was utterly silent for a while.
Then there came screams as people ran towards the wreckage.
Someone yelled that they had called 911, but that was the only words I could pick out over the cacophony.
I couldn't move.
The front of the car had been pushed in towards me, pressing my legs against the seat. The windshield was shattered so much that you could barely see through any of it.
I turned my head slowly to the side, feeling the muscles ache. I lay my head looking sideways right at the other car.
The smell of gas was overwhelming and I started to black out.
The last thought that crossed my mind should've been Leah and how I love her, but it wasn't.
It was of Samantha and how I was going to die with her hating me.
