POV: Sam

"... she doesn't remember anything before this year." Murmuring cut into my once peaceful sleep.

"Will she ever remember again?"

"Is she okay other than that?"

"Can she leave?"

"Can she come home yet?"

I heard tons of voices bombarding the girl. I recognized them.

My mother, my father, Sydney, and Sydney's mom.

"Can I see her?" A more timid voice than the others spoke out.

"She's asleep..." The girl (probably a nurse) pointed out.

"I don't care, I need to see her." I could now hear that it was a boy. He seemed to have a slight accent, but not from Europe of course.

"Last time-"

"Last time she was out of her wits and scared. She had just woken up from a coma for God's sake! You can't blame her for yelling like that..." He said desperately.

He must really love her, whoever she is.

One day, when I'm older, I want to have a boyfriend like that.

To care about me unconditionally.

But I've been told I won't find anybody until High School. Or maybe even college.

I have time though... I'm only 14.

Suddenly I was snapped out of my thoughts as I hear the room door creak open and there was a shuffling.

"Stop! She needs rest. She-" I sat up quickly and hugged my knees to my chest and gazed upon the boy that stood in front of me.

The nurse looked flustered and pissed off as she tried to grab the boy and pull him out, but he took no notice of her.

Instead he stood, frozen. Staring.

It took me a moment to get over my surprise and realize he was staring at ME.

I felt even more self conscious and tried to pull myself in tighter, to disappear under his gaze. It was full of sorrow, but I had no idea why I could tell that.

It felt like an eternity before anybody spoke, and nobody did.

Sydney burst into the room, tears streaming down her face as she ran to me and flung her arms around me.

"Sam.. I thought you had left me. Thank God your okay." She sobbed into my shoulder.

I pulled her at arms length away from her and looked at her in amusement.

"What are you talking about? I didn't go anywhere." I said almost laughing. How could she have forgotten already? "Sydney I just saw you yesterday." I said smiling.

She frowned and shook her head solemnly.

What is with everybody being so depressed today? I mean my goodness you'd think some one had died!

Finally a doctor walked in and the chaos ceased.

"I think it would be best if you left Samantha alone while I talk to her." He said warningly as he walked in slowly while reading a clipboard.

I watched as everyone turned quickly and left.

The last one to leave was the boy with freckles. He looked back before walking out of the room.

"So Samantha, are you aware of how serious your accident really was?" The doctor began standing beside my bed looking down at me.

POV: Nash

"You know, if you hadn't have run off in your little temper tantrum you could've been there to comfort Sam when she woke up! But nooo you had to assume the worse." Cameron was nagging Sydney for the umteenth time.

"I told you I was stressed and I just cracked! Stop bringing it up will ya?" She cried quietly.

Cameron had a point. If people actually listened to me, we may have avoided most of this hardship.

An hour or two had passed before the doctor reappeared. He approached Sam's parents looking solemn.

"She can leave, but I'd keep her out of school for another week until she gets adjusted to things. I will write passes-"

"We were actually just going to have her do online so that it wouldn't be as stressful to her..." Her father said sternly, but carried off.

"Even better." The doctor smiled kindly before walking away to the front desk to talk with the secretary or nurse that was there at the time.

He walked back and handed them a prescription bag.

"Have her take them however many times it says on the direction." He said calmly. "And you can take her home now. I've already explained to you what to do to help jog her memory, correct?" Her father nodded uniformly while her mother stayed unmoving and silent.

Then I zoned out once they started talking about payments and whether insurance would pay for the treatments and being at the hospital in general.

POV: Cameron

I didn't mean to lecture Sydney all the time... I was just a bit stressed.

I just loved her so much, I didn't want the same thing that happened to Sam to happen to Sydney.

Right now we were driving home. Or more so I was driving to Taylor's and Sydney was also coming.

Sam's mom and dad had admitted her from the hospital and Nash came with us to Taylor's since he couldn't go with Sam.

And just like Nash had said would happen, she didn't remember me or Nash or even heard of Vine. She only knows Sydney and her parents, at least of the people that were at the hospital.

This time when I was driving I didn't dare to look down once or let myself get distracted from anything.

I was not going to repeat what happened to Sam.
