POV: Nash
"So you promise nothing happened between you and that Sam chick?" Leah asked eyes slitted and blonde hair in a mess.
"Yes babe, I promise." I said, but i felt something latch onto my heart making it weigh a ton and cause my insides to churn. That's usually what happens when I don't tell the truth. In other words, I lied.
Something DID happen, but it wasn't THAT bad... I didn't sleep with her or anything..... It was nothing. Right?
-FLASHBACK-
Yes, I do realize that I said Sam was my girlfriend in order to get the guy to move. And no, it wasn't a mistake. It didn't mean anything, just put more pressure on the dude to move.... And it obviously it didn't mean anything to Sam because she didn't flinch, smile, gasp, or even spare a glance at me. So either she heard it and ignored it or was just ignoring everything I said completely.
Oh well, it didn't matter because I have a girlfriend. And I am no cheat.
But it became harder and harder to remember that as I watched Sam, who was totally and utterly oblivious to me, react according to the movie and sit at the edge of her seat clearly engrossed into the film.
Even when she had her eyes squinted and her nose scrunched up in concentration (she must have forgotten her glasses or contacts) she was still the cutest thing in the room. Which was saying something because this room was packed with people.
At one point I laid my hand out on the armrest open side up to let her know that she could hold my hand if she got scared. Although, I didn't think that was going to happen because she seemed more interested than anything during the movie.
Then finally when the children were on the school bus on the bridge running from the city a crow smashed into the window and startled Samantha so much that she cringed into my shoulder.
It didn't last long though. The warmth from her head quickly disappeared as she apologized immediately.
"Don't worry about it." I smiled at her although I wasn't sure she could actually see because it was dark in the theater.
Then I did something I probably should not have done.
I grabbed a hold of her hand that had previously been on her lap and held it right on the armrest. At first she kept her hand rigid so that they gave no reassurance to me that she was okay with it, but after a while she let her hand relax. And so we sat that way for about 10 minutes before she stood up abruptly pulling her hand from my grasp. The coldness was immediate and I felt a loss is in its absence.
I looked at her in confusion and I heard some annoyed whispers from behind her.
"Bathroom." She said coldly before going in between the bars and down towards the exit, but not the emergency one.
I quickly followed her because I knew that that was not the reason she left.
When we reached the lobby she walked to an abandoned part of the hallway where people were already in their theaters. Then she spun around to face me, causing more curls to fall down from her bun and framing her oval face. I could tell she was pissed because her usually goldeneyes had a red tint to them.
"Look Nash, I don't know who you think you are but it is not okay to cheat on your girlfriend no matter how much I like you." She hissed glaring at me.
"Wait you-" Started as I felt my heart flutter.
"It doesn't matter if I do. You have a girlfriend so you should just forget I said anything!" She said her voice rising in anger.
