Azorath's Adventure

Chapter 8: Town of Zelibar!

Ah, finally, the town of Zelibar, a port town of many buildings and bustling streets. This town is the home to the continent wide tournament and beyond. Only those brave enough enter, and only those strong enough may continue. The name of this event is known for short as the Zeli Tournament or ZT as some. Every year some strong challengers compete but will any of them match our electric hero? Or will our feline friend finally show her true powers?

"Whoa! This is so cool! I've never known a place this popular!" Azorath spoke, to his friend, in the middle of a street full of people walking by. "Shush! Don't say stuff like that around here or else you'll get your wallet stolen or worse." They walked in silence other then the bustling streets and Azorath's "oooh"s and "awww"s

     As they arrive to the town square, Minou continues to keep a close eye on Azorath as he continually looks into stores. "Jeez," she mumbles "You're like a child." Azorath walked back to her and replied "I'm sorry, what did you say? I couldn't hear very well 'cause I was busy looking at stuff." He chuckled to himself "Its just that I've never been to a place like this and it's really nice. I like it a lot thank you for taking me." As Minou saw his smile she felt bad and partially looked down. "It's nothing don't worry about it. Now do you wanna continue on to get to the tournament?" She asked him and started to walk on for a bit. Azorath nodded and walked next to her. As they continued to walk closer and closer, Azorath decided to try and start a conversation.

     "So, I know that we have argued a lot and all on the way here, but I'm glad I came along. This has been a lot of fun. Thank you."
"Eh, don't worry about it kid, it's nothing."
"Hey you know I'm only about 2 years younger then you right? I am no kid."
"Wait, I never told you my age how would you know it?"
"Well I mean I don't KNOW it but I can make guesses based on how you look. Trust me I read about it a long time ago. And based on healthy skin, being very agile, and your attitude, I would say you're about, 17?"
"..."
"Sorry, was I off? The book doesn't say about Catunease."
".....I'm 18....actually."
"Aha! I was close! I bet you can't guess my age."
"15?"
"No I'm 16 but I guessed a little below what I thought your age would be."
"Oh..so you originally thought I was 18 but just guessed a little lower just in case?"
"Well yeah cause I figured that you might have just been more mature."
"Oh ok. Well look! The tournament!"

    "Wait the whaaaaa-" Azorath said as he soon realized where he was at. He was standing in front of the Zelibar Tournament building. The building was 6 stories tall, with a completely flat rooftop atop. The building had no windows whatsoever and appeared to be made of stone with patches of dark metal in a pattern. The building had two towers off to the side that extended not very far above the roof of the main building. It also had the stone and metal pattern. In front of the building had two large gate-like metal doors which were closed off to everyone outside. A little over to the side was a booth that was small compared to the mega-building towering over it. The booth had a sign on top that said Registration in bold letters. After Azorath had realize where he was and his surroundings, he looked for Minou and soon saw her at the registration booth. Quickly he ran after her.

     After the pair got registered, they walked over in front of the gate with a bunch of other people and strange looking creatures. This was obviously the place to wait until the doors open up. Will Azorath win the tournament? Or will Minou finally show her true strength? Will an unknown stranger take the victory? Is the tournament even going to happen? Find out soon on chapters to come!
