Today....was the final day. The day that would decide the winner of the tournament that has lasted days. There were only two competitors remaining, Azorath and Minou. These two have experienced great things together, but today, they are not friends. Today they are rivals. The winner gets a cash money prize. But only one will win.
Azorath and Minou stood across from each other, on the cleaned rooftop battlefield. A light breeze blew across, but neither of them flinched, or even moved. "A play of fate, is it not?" Azorath said "That two friends must face each other-" "In a battle of death." Minou interrupted. "Yeah, we saw that movie with you last night. Now quit trying to sound brave and let's just fight." Azorath facepalmed. "C'mooooooon! You should let me have my fun." He replied. The two laughed, but quickly got serious. Erwin flew down close on his platform. "Allllllright! Today is the FINAL MATCH and it is a very special one! Those listening, you may remember that these two are the ones who won the first test that I gave! It is only fate that they too shall be in thr final round together! Let us hope that today is a match that deserves to he the final round! Contestants, as you both may remember, today is the day that traps have been left out and will appear in your match, so make sure to be extra careful. With nothing else to say, I commence this match started now!" Erwin announced as his platform flew off, back to the sky. Azorath and Minou both ran forward, with Minou much faster. Azorath went ahead with a jumping punch, but Minou easily dodged said attack. "Hm. My friend you leave yourself open." Minou told him as she flipped backwards to deliver a swift kick to Azorath's back. At which he fell forward and a loud click sound was heard. A spring sprung up from under the spot where Azorsth landed, causing him to launch upwards into the sky. At first all he did was flail his arms in surprise, but soon after he found it as an advantage. Azorath grabbed onto one of the nearby floating cameras, and hung on. The added weight caused the floating machine to slowly fall to the ground as Minou stood and watched. "Not bad kid." She told him "Now are you ready to fight for real?" Azorath stepped on the floor. "Well maybe when all the floor tricks stop." He responded. Minou ran forward and quickly kneed Azorath in the stomach. "Remember to always keep your guard up." She said before she jumped back. Azorath stumbled for a moment. "Heh....you wanna play hard ball huh?" He said back. Azorath stood up straight and clapped his hands together. Electricity flowed around his hands, just like the last few fights before. Then the two fought in a flurry of punches and kicks, with each attack blocking the other, as they dodged the many spring traps.
Next they charged at each other again, but right before Minou could jump up for another strike, Azorath slammed his hands on the ground which caused an electrical impulse throughout the ground. The electricity made Minou stop and get stunned for a moment, which gave Azorath the perfect chance. He ran forward towards his friend but current enemy, ran around her, and put her in a headlock. "I don't want to have to hit you." Azorath told her as he continued to hold her there. "Just give up now." Minou struggled for a bit. "I am not allowed to give up!" She cried out. Minou sighed, before starting to whisper "I need the money.....for my family...and for my culture's approval..." Azorath weakened up on the headlock a bit. "R...really?" He asked. Minou, still whispering, told more of the story. "Shh! Whisper you fool! If my brother finds out I told you, then he will tell father....and I will fail the test..." Azorath began to whisper back "Ok. Well what if I won and then gave you most of the money? And your brother isn't here, only we are." Minou shook her head. "No, he is just to fast for us to see. He is the fastest of the family, and the overseer of my journey. But....maybe you're right." Minou finished with before she slid from Azorath's loose-grip headlock. "Ha! You fool! You could never beat me!" She then announced as she pointed at him while doing so. Azorath gave her a confused look. "But....didn't I just ha-" He said before getting interrupted by Minou. "Yes you did have me! But I successfully snuck out!" Azorath looked confused still, but finally figured out what was going on. "Ohhhhhhh." He said to himself. "Well! Of course I was no match for you! You are a mighty warrior! I only hope you shall let me win this match!" Azorath announced. Minou fakely chuckled and answered "Well you HAVE grown much stronger just from being near me, so I shall allow it!" Only silence stood for a moment, but after a bit, confetti flew into the air. "Well...! Uhhh congratulations to Azorath for uhhh obtaining this victory?!" Erwin told the camera's as he floated down to the roof-arena floor. "Azorath! May I see you for a winner's interview?" Erwin asked and which Azorath accepted as he walked over there. However, Minou walked the other direction, and sat at the edge of the roof-arena.
"I know what you did, little sis." A voice spoke. "You lost the match, and the money. What will I say to father?" Minou sighed, and looked out to the horizon. "I made a deal with him. I let him win the tournament, but he is going to give me most of the prize money. For that however, I think I will have to bring hi-" The voice interrupted. "No. You know that isn't allowed." "Now just hear me out." Minou said sassily. "If I would have won the tournament, then people would have recognized me, but THIS way, nobody will know who I am, and of my royal background." The voice mumbled something, then afterwards replied. "Fine. I will explain it to father. You will leave tomorrow, no earlier than 10, and no later than 11." Minou nodded her head. "Ok big bro. Maybe we can go back to training when I get home? And maybe you can become friends with Azorath? He is pretty cool I think you'll like him." She quietly said. "We will see. Until then, princess." The voice finished with and vanished. Minou looked down to the ground below her, with sad eyes.
"Hey Minou!" Azorath yelled as he stood there with a smile on his face. "C'mon! Let's go shopping!" Minou stood up and ran over to them. "Ok!" She replied with. "And that!" Erwin spoke out to the cameras. "Is the end of the Zelibar Tournament! Make sure to come over next year for some more exciting action!"
As everyone went home, Azorath and Minou went to the various shops and stores to buy all kinds of stuff like clothes, food to store in Minou's Magic Backpack, and even a few new weapons that looked fun to use. They had a wonderful shopping spree, and they went home full of glee and happiness. The next morning they would begin their new journey to a mysterious place that Azorath has no idea about.
"Hey.....Azorath...." Minou reluctantly said. Azorath looked up from the new outfit on the bed, and the new sword laying next to it. "Yeah? What's up?" He asked confusingly. Minou sighed. "We have to go to my home. I have to give the rest of my money to my dad....the king..." She told him which caused Azorath's face to turn from a worry look, to full surprise. "Wha!?! King?! So that makes you a-?!" He yelled out before Minou covered his mouth. She quickly looked around and whispered. "Princess....I know."
