Chapter 20: On Our Way! New friends!

Azorath sat on the bed they shared, and he looked into the distance, past the tv. Minou stood next to him. "Yes I know. You never expected it, did you?" She asked as she put her hand on his shoulder. And the two sparked a series of questions and answers.

"Ok....so...you're like royalty?"
"Yes. Yes I am a princess."
"And so.....you entered the tournament to prove yourself?"
"Yeah I figured what better way."
"So we made a deal that I would win and give you most of the money?"
"Yes....you were the one who suggested it..."
"Right. Ok and here is the part that messes me up. Your brother, who is a prince, is also named Stephen, has been following you this entire time without me knowing, and also demands that we leave really soon?"
"Hm....yeah I think all of that is correct."

Azorath paused for a moment. Before he could say anything, the door began to knock. Azorath and Minou looked at eachother and waited for the knocking to stop. They checked the clock, which said 10:37. "Could that be him?" Azorath asked. Minou shrugged and looked around. "Well normally, he just appears and makes you jump or freak out, but I suppose maybe he knocked." She replied. Azorath carefully walked forward to the door. He leaned his ear against the door, but couldn't hear anything. Azorath reached his hand for the door knob, but jumped back at a scream. "Minou!" He yelled as he ran back to her.

When he got into the room, Minou was being held by a cloaked darkness. The darkness had her with one arm, and a knife in the other hand. Azorath put his hands together for a Blitz Gun, that which he aimed at the shadowy figure. The shadow held the knife closer to Minou. Azorath panicked a bit, but ignored the shadow to look at Minou. "Hey Minou, remember that show we saw last night?" He asked as he looked at her. "Minou looked confused for a moment. "You mean Manny? On tv?" She replied to him. Azorath nodded his head and Minou's eyes widened. She then suddenly jerked over to the side, as Azorath shot a Blitz Gun at the shadowy figure. The shadow dropped the knife and Minou, so that it could catch the small lightning bolt of magic. "Hmmm.....interesting." The shadow spoke "So you ARE capable of some kind of magical abilities. Not as disappointing as I originally thought." Minou layed on the floor, looking at the shadow figure. "See, now that was just mean." She told it, starting off a loud arguement between the two, while Azorath just watched.

"Ugh, well I wouldn't be mean if he wasn't so lame."
"Lame?! How is he lame?! I mean he was quick enough to shoot a bolt of lightning at you."
"And that was it?! C'mon you are a princess! You need protected."
"Protected!?! Oh heck no! I do NOT need to be protected Stephen! And you know that!"
"Well don't tell him who I am! You just ruined the whole act! It was YOUR idea after all!"
"Well my idea didn't involve an ACTUAL knife!"
"You wanted it to look REAL didn't you?!"
"Not THAT real!"

Azorath had enough of the brother and sister. "Ok you two, I think we need-" But both of them interrupted. "Shut up!" They told him before they could just finish their sibling arguing. Azorath sighed and walked off until they finished.

Azorath sat at the dinner table, reading a book. Minou slowly walked over to him. "Heyyyyyy buddy. Sorry about that. Sometimes my brother and I....well we argue like sliblings haha..." She told him as she walked closer. Azorath ignored her, and turned another page as he continued to read. Minou sighed and continued "Look, I know we were a bit rude, yelling at you and all. So.....I'm sorry." Azorath didn't say a word, but just turned another page. "Well if you are just going to be rude about it, then I think I'll leave." Minou finished as she got ready to storm off. Azorath closed his book and sat it down. "Sorry, I had to get to a good stopping point." He said, getting up as well. Minou rolled her eyes at him. Azorath sighed and continued "I accept your apology, but Stephen is-" Azorath was interrupted by said person. "Stephen is what?" He asked as he entered the room, in his real form instead of the shadow figure disguise he had on before. Azorath paused for a second, before saying "You are rather rude." Stephen chuckled. "The opinion of one.....such as yourself....does not matter to me" He said as he examined the room. Azorath walked to stand in front of him. "Looks like you just proved my point." He said as he stood tall. Minou quickly stood between the two. "Heyyyyyyyy guys. Lets not fight. We have all said a few things we regret now, so lets just make up ok?" She said, trying to seperate them. "Tch. Let's go already." Stephen said as he started to walk out. Azorath watched him leave then looked at Minou. "Alright, might as well go. Shall we?" Azorath said afterwards and followed Stephen out the door. Minou slouched down and asked "This is going to be a long, annoying trip isn't it?" "Yep!" Both Azorath and Stephen answered back from outside. Minou hurried out with them.

The three of them walked out of town on the road until Stephen stopped them. "Wait......we aren't alone here..." He told them as he looked around. "OH." Azorath exclaimed. "Weren't our friends supposed to meet us outside of town Minou?" Minou thought for a second until she replied "Oh yeah! I forgot!" The two looked around for their friends. "Look! There's Ochi!" Pointed out Azorath as he began to hurry towards him. Minou ran to catch up, while Stephen sighed and slowly walked to follow.

"Stop!" Cried out an unknown person. Azorath and Minou did so in the middle of the street, close to their friend but out of arms reach. Azorath and Minou looked around for whoever said that, but found out their were alone. A loud thump was heard in front of them, along with a pose-making figure that said "Beware! For the combined efforts of the Malicious Mailman!" Another figure jumped down, however making less flashy poses, that then said "And the Stupendous Skater!" Both of them stood back to back, with their palm out towards Azorath and Minou. They both simultaneously said "And we are, the Super Squad!" Both Minou and Azorath stood together watching them. Minou looked dumbfounded while Azorath looked as in awe. When the Super Squad was done, they walked over to Azorath and Minou to talk. Ochi Konda, who didn't want to be forgotten, walked over as well. They all stood and chatted together before they split paths. Multiple conversations were started by this.

M: You know, Suké, I totally think we should talk more. Do you have a phone?
S: Uh well yeah sure, although I only really use it in emergencies. We can call though.
M: Sweet! Ok so give me your phone and I'll put my number in.
S: Ok.

A: So, I'm going on a journey with Minou, anyone want to join?
O: Sorry, but I can't. I have my own journey to go on.
I: Well Suké and I are going to the city of Gerrauf. You know, the really big city?
A: I've heard of it. What are you doing there?
I: We are looking for another member in our group. We want at least three.
O: Makes sense, I mean a two person team is more of a duo than a squad.
A: Right, well wanna come with us? At least until you gotta go another direction?
I: Sure! Sounds fun. Ochi, you sure you can't come with?
O: Sorry but no. Like I said I have my own adventure to go on.

Stephen stood and watched until they were finished. When they were done, they all said their goodbyes to Ochi and walked on. The five of them continued through the countryside together, awaiting for their next exciting journey.
