Azorath jumped. The unknown but yet peaceful and calm voice gave him a startle so bad he blurted out. "Wh-who goes there?! State your name!" For a moment there was silence. Azorath continues to look around but saw no one. Until suddenly, an apple began to fall and hit him. "Owwwwww!" he spoke, "As if my day couldn't get any worse." The voice spoke, peaceful and calming tone. "Aw I'm sorry are you okay? You aren't hurt are you? I didn't mean for that to happen." The mysterious person leapt down from the tree and stood in front of Azorath. "Don't be afraid." the voice said "I'll tend to your wounds."

The two of them sat around a campfire, with Azorath covered in bandages, a blanket over his back, and drinking from a cup, and with the voice cooking soup in a pot. Azorath decided to say something, beginning to trust the newly met stranger. "Um....excuse me ma'am, I don't believe I've seen someone like you around here. May I ask where you hail from?" The mysterious lady smiled and then replied "You're right, not many such as myself appear here. I live in a place far south from here, an island deemed the name Catuna. Which is the kingdom of my people. I'm a Catunease, a pretty agile race of people. I'm sure you've noticed my tail and ears by now." Her tail wagged around and her ears perked up, if almost by command. "And my name, is Minou, how about yours?" Azorath paused, still not knowing if he trusts her yet, but she did help him. "My name is Azorath, and I'm looking for a place to live, not an orphanage of any kind." he said finally.

The two of them talked, they told of what brought them here that night, and they felt like they had more to talk about over their bowls of soup. "So..." Azorath spoke, still a little nervous around his new encounter "What do you intend to do now? I mean if you don't mind I could follow you until the next town...or something." This somewhat surprised Minou, so she responded with "Well I am traveling anywhere for right now, but sure as long as you can protect yourself. Now we should rest, after all if we want to explore we should get up early." Azorath sighed and said "Yeah I guess you're right, and trust me, I can defend myself." he layed down and stared off "Ya know, you're a lot less freaky when you aren't stalking me from a tree." after a second of silence they both laughed and after came Minou's reply "Hey I said I'm sorry......after a I did hit you with an apple....okay, okay my bad. I'll try to stay ground level from now on." Minou laid herself down as well and soon the pair both slowly went to sleep.

Later that night, Azorath woke up rubbing his eyes to the sight of a burned out fire and a missing Catunease across the campfire. He looked up and around trying to find the sneaky Minou as he did not want another apple to be tossed at him. He soon saw her sitting on a rock, facing the large moon. Azorath went to follow and sat next to her. He started to speak after he woke up a little. "Why are you staring at the big rock? And so late at night too?" This surprised Minou, as she pondered for a second and then said "You don't find it beautiful? The way it sparkles in the night sky. It amazes me and puts me in awe." Azorath turned his head and looked "Yeah I mean I guess it's kinda pretty. Did you know that Moon is the toughest material known to us? Rumor has it that it's naturally a super strong material, but it gets added strength from the user's own power. I learned about it at the orphanage, and I learned like, all the instruments from the books we had." After a little bit of laughter, and some silence, they both decided to go back to bed.

When they woke up, they packed up everything and carried on. Azorath was delegated the mule, for he carried most of the items because he considered it weight lifting. They shared stories, and they laughed on and on. Would this pair become good friends? Or was disaster right around the corner?
