Today was the start of the 2nd round of the tournament. The first day that Azorath and Minou would be fighting. The excitement in Azorath's and Minou's temporary home is immeasurable. After all, these would be the first real fights Azorath had ever had, and Minou seems excited enough as well. Well through their daily routine of every morning activities, they eventually made their way back to the tournament early so that they could have a little chat with Erwin about who to look out for, and who to stay away from. Hopefully he will help them out, even a little bit.
"You know I'm not allowed to give out that kind of information guys. Trust me, I would if I could, but that would give you an unfair advantage. You should've waited yesterday and watched the fights like I suggested instead of leaving." Erwin told them both. Azorath started to reply, but before he could get a full word out, he was cut off by Minou who stood up and started her reply instead. "Ok, thank you very much anyway. Now if you'll excuse us, we are going to go get ready for our matches." The pair started to get up and leave to go to the audience area. There was a hallway which expended into a big but thin-ish room. Where the glass on the outside was, there were long tv's and benches in front of them. On ever corner hung speakers for the tv's. There were tables with chairs to sit at in groups, and at the very opposite end was a bathroom for men and a bathroom for women. By the entryway was a small table with a stack of papers, and these papers were the tournament's schedule of who's planned to fight who. Azorath grabbed a paper and studied it. "Who's this O-ki Kon-da guy I'm supposed to fight?" He said to himself while pointing on the name, but Azorath got an answer anyway. A stranger walked behind him and told him "Oh that's the guy that won a match with a stare. No literally, the match was only intense staring, and then the guy ran away. Later I asked him about the match, and he said he didn't remember anything about it. Just he remembers being terrified by that guy's power." This made Azorath freeze. "Only a stare? How am I supposed to beat him then, by not looking at his eyes? That will make things difficult for me. Man this is gonna be rough." Azorath thought to himself. More and more people came in and sat around. Many of them sat in groups together, but some of them decided that they would stand by themselves. Minou and Azorath decided to sit together at a table of four, so half the table seemed empty. It wouldn't take long for the tournament to start, so they just sat and waited.
Erwin's voice was heard over the speakers. "Allllllllright! It's time for round TWO of this amazing tournament! The first match will be a classic match between "The Sumo King", who weighs in at 530 pounds. Wow! His opponent is Egorr, a ferocious man who weighs in at 500 pounds and 8 feet tall of pure muscle! This battle may not be quick but this shall be an interesting battle none the less! Now, both of you, head to the stage." Said the voice. At that moment, two men, who fit the description's very well, who walked out to the arena. At that time, the tv's turned on and showed them walking into the arena. The two men stood on opposite sides, and waited for something. Soon after, a Holo Image of Erwin appeared in the middle of the arena. "Alright! I'll be watching this match, so remember, no killing and no cheating. Alright lets get it on!" The Holo Image disappeared, and a bell rung. The match had started.
"So you think you're tough stuff huh?" The Sumo King told Egorr while he smirked at him. Egorr, with a blank face, replied back "Egorr tired of Fat Man's talking. Can't we hurry to fighting yet?" This had enraged The Sumo King, he yelled at Egorr with hate in his voice. "Fat huh?! I'll show you the power of a king! Earth Magic, Groundquake!" The Sumo King stomped his foot on the ground, and the whole building shook. Everyone was stumbling around, except for The Sumo King and Egorr. They locked eyes. Egorr walked forward, unaffected by the sudden shaking of the ground. As he stood face to face with his sumo enemy, he raised his arms into the air. "Egorr uses Spiritual Magic, Bear Hug!" He said as he wrapped his arms around The Sumo King, and started to lift him into the air. The shaking stopped, and everyone was awed in the raw strength of Egorr while he squeezed tighter on The Sumo King. He grunted and groaned, but headbutted Egorr in attempt of retaliation. "Fat Man not give up easily from that?" Egorr said as he then put the enemy on the ground carefully. "Haha you fool!" The Sumo King yelled out, as he put out a flurry of punches and chops. Egorr remained unaffected, and stood there. "Spiritual Magic, Buffalo Charge." He said as he pushed The Sumo King away from him, which launched said King far back into the wall in front of Egorr. Once the dust cleared, it was clear who was the victor. The Holo Image of Erwin appeared again, and told the audience "Wow! What a good match! It looks as if Egorr is the winner this time! No-" Erwin was interrupted abruptly by Egorr, who said "Can Egorr leave now? Egorr has no more matches." "Why um....yes you can." Erwin told him. In that exact moment, Egorr turned around, and walked away. The very large metal doors, that took the strength of many men in shape to open and were still worn out when done, Egorr opened with ease and closed the door behind him. At that very same moment, several men lifted The Sumo King, who was knocked out cold, onto a stretcher and carried him away.
After a moment of awkward and confusing silence, the Holo Image Erwin told the audience "Well that was...interesting... Well it's time for the next match!" Azorath leaned over to Minou, who was watching the tv screen with aw as the next match started. "So, that was really weird." He told her. "What was? The incredibly fat man, or the very large man that picked him up? Or what about the magic that I've never seen and I'm sure you've never see before." Minou replied to him, barely looking away as the match started to close to an end. "Thanks for pointing that out. And...well...both really. Kinda makes me doubt my chance of winning ya know? I mean just think of who else is here I have to fight someone who wins with a stare? I mean c'mon." Azorath told her as he looked down at the table. Minou looked away from the tv. "Hey, buddy, don't be like that. I'm sorry about that by the way. Just being blunt." She said as she patted his back. "You've got just as much opportunity as the rest of us. You just need to believe and try your hardest. Ok? I know you can do it. You'll probably get first place." Azorath looked up slightly, looking up at Minou. "Yeah....I guess you're right...maybe. Thanks Minou. Means a lot." He told her as the match on the tv started to finish. Azorath stood up and Minou looked at him in confusion. "What's wrong?" She asked him as she started to get up as well. Azorath stopped her from doing so and told her "I just need a little fresh air. I'll be back in a little bit." And right as Azorath was leaving the watching area, the match had already finished and the next one was starting. Holo Image Erwin announced the next match. "Alllllllright! I know we have had a few short matches lately, but this will be interesting I'm sure. The next match is the exciting Azorath and the myssssterious Ochi Konda! Please come to the arena!" Azorath looked down and sighed. "Crap." He said. "I'm not ready. Well that sucks. Guess I gotta go anyway." Azorath walked ahead to the arena, to mysteriously find that his opponent was already there.
