Chapter 10: Gaze

It was finally the day of the performance. Jungkook was in his throne room expecting them to come any moment. He was excited to finally see the circus performers like the first time the Adviser invited them.

As Jungkook was waiting and tapping his hands onto the armrests of his throne. Yoongi walked in to the throne room with Sumi to drop her off so she can see the circus performance. The little girl carried many drawings of the king and was happy to take it to him.

"Hello, Yoongi! Hi Sumi!" Jungkook stood up and waved at the two realizing Sumi couldn't stop giggling at the king. She was really excited.

"Sumi.." Yoongi called out catching her attention again. "Give me a hug before I get to work." Yoongi said getting down on one knee so the little girl can give him a big hug.

"Love you." Sumi told her father as Yoongi gave her a kiss on her little head before standing up.

"I hope she doesn't bring you any trouble, Your Majesty. Please take good care of her and Thank you so much for wanting to hang out with her today, I really apreciate t-"

"That's alright. I love to help!" Jungkook claimed as Sumi ran up to the king holding up the drawings happily.

Yoongi left with a smile, he didn't have to worry that Sumi was going to be alone wondering around. As soon as Yoongi left, Jungkook looked at the drawings and allowed the little girl to sit on the Princess throne that was a throne away from his. Next to his throne was the Queen throne to his right as the Prince throne was on his left.

Sumi enjoyed sitting on the seat as she felt like an actual princess, Jungkook liked having atleast someone he can talk to about the performance, even if Sumi was sitting a bit too far. Jungkook looked at the nice drawings the little girl drew and smiled happily to see them.

"Thank you." Jungkook thanked the girl as she just blushed and giggled. She found the king handsome and nice. Sumi was glad she made a friend with atleast the King.

"You're welcome!" The girl responded with a sweet giggle. The two waited for the circus performers until The adviser showed up.

"Your Majesty, Their here!" Adviser Yang claimed as Jungkook nodded happily.

"Bring them in an-" Then Sumi whispered something into Jungkook's ear as he nodded. "Sumi wants grape juice and cookies. Please tell the chef to make it for her." Jungkook ordered as Adviser Yang did what he was told.

"I'll bring them in here." Adviser Yang claimed as he walked up to the doors and opened them.

Jimin felt nervous. It was like he was coming here for the first time again... But he was only here for the second time. It just made him feel nervous. As soon as he walked in, Jimin felt the tough stare of the king completely pierce onto him. It felt like many needles against his skin. As a shiver went down his spine... Jimin finally looked up to see the King smile happily at Jimin. It wasn't no excited smile, it was a charming and interesting smile he gave to Jimin.

Taehyung saw this and rolled his eyes under his white skeleton mask and waited for the performers to get in place. He even set Jimin to the back in hopes for the king to see each and every performer but Jungkook just tilted his head to see more of Jimin.

Taehyung walked up to the center holding his cane and faked a smile like he would always do in every show. "Your Majesty, We are honored to come back for another show with our lovely friends." Taehyung then noticed the little girl on the princess throne and tilted his head. "A princess?"

"She's the daughter of the Royal messenger." Jungkook said as Taehyung nodded.

"Ah, I see... May I?" Taehyung held out his gloved hand to the little girl asking if he can step forward and give her something.

"Go ahead." Jungkook allowed as he looked forward to Jimin seeing him blush at the sudden stares.

Taehyung pulled out a rose from his red coat and handed it to Sumi. The Ringmaster rubbed her black silk hair as he turned around and adjusted his hat, walking back to the group. He knew Jungkook was staring at Jimin again so now, he was tired of trying to catch the King's attention. Taehyung held up his cane and pointed it to the king. "Now, your Majesty. We want your attention." Taehyung said as he stepped in the kings way of looking at Jimin. "Don't be too biased, we're all friends here!" Taehyung faked another smile and placed the cane down. "Now that's out of the way, let's begin! I won't be performing since my Lion can't come inside here, but don't worry, yours truely will host the show." Taehyung let out a fake chuckle and turned around to face the performers in a serious face.

As the first few performers began to do their stunts, riding unicycles and acrobats just turning and twisting in scary ways was enough to make Sumi smile and clap happily while Jungkook of course... Stared at Jimin from across the room. He slowly raised his hands to wave as Jimin blinked not sure what to do but just smile and wave back happily.

Taehyung was of course next to Jimin and dropped the older boy's hand to make him stop as Jungkook felt a twitch.. It wasn't like an uncomfortable feeling... This showed how angry he was getting. "That Ringmaster..." Jungkook said in his mind as he clenched onto the arm rests of his throne while he stared at how the Ringmaster still kept Jimin's hand down and whispered something into the performers ear making Jimin nod and look away from the King's direction.

Jungkook layed back on his throne rolling his tongue in his cheek as he stared at the Ringmaster in anger. "Who the hell does he think he is?!" Jungkook shouted in his head. He did not like the Ringmaster one bit and thought the leader was too bossy over Jimin.
